Too much turnover has to be one of the driving reasons repeat champs are so rare. Can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since someone repeated in the NFL.
We will hit 20 and then some and I say that as a Chiefs fan. Can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since someone repeated in the NFL.
I agree. Need a bit more success than that to be a dynasty. That could be just a longer flash of lightning in a bottle.B2b does not make a dynasty
The WNBA exists because the NBA is willing to lose millions of dollars on it every year. There shouldn't be.
Exactly my point. The WNBA exists because the NBA is willing to lose millions of dollars on it every year.
New England could have had a three-peat if they'd just, well, played Malcolm Butler against Philly, LOL!!!Can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since someone repeated in the NFL.
I realize this is getting close to non-sports, but what's the point of holding up "women" in this way if it's really a sham??? Isn't that really doing women an injustice???If the NBA is willing to lose 10-12 million dollars a year in exchange for the positive PR from running a women’s league (or avoiding the negative PR from pulling the plug), that’s on them. Not coming out of my pocket so I don’t care.
Gee, I'm guessing you've never been married if you don't understand the degree to which women like their lives subsidized by men....I realize this is getting close to non-sports, but what's the point of holding up "women" in this way if it's really a sham??? Isn't that really doing women an injustice???
Exact same here - MLB went into the dumpster for me after the strike. I’ll sometimes watch the college World Series if Bama or USA is in it, if it’s on when I can watch. Not true, I played baseball when I was a kid and was a pretty massive Braves fan until the 94-95 strike, after which I never regained interest. We used to jet over to Atlanta anytime we could to catch a game while I was at Bama. I was a big baseball fan when I was younger, but the strike really took the shine off the sport for me and I never could regain interest.
In fact, the way I stopped enjoying baseball should be a warning to the CFB decision-makers - the path the game is currently on is not one I will not likely follow indefinitely. They require eyeballs to get the advertisers to fund the massive deals conferences like the B1G and SEC are getting now, and they're diluting the sport to the point that some of us will eventually just change channels. And we might not come back.
