Brooks definitely had a great game. Looking forward to seeing what he will do going forward. Also, I would like to see them use Mbakwe on the sweeps or get him involved more. He is a playmaker and needs to get some touches.
Yes, I need more proof the team has turned things around. We played great for 60 minutes against ULM but last season we also played great against UGA for 30 minutes but not so great after that. We'll learn a lot over the next two games.I don’t yet either. I’m “wait and see” until the end of the season. But last night went the absolute best way that it could (and it could have gone several bad ways) so there is that.
I don't expect domination at UGA. But I do expect (hope to see) the same level of intensity and effort we saw against ULM. I'm actually more concerned with the psyche of the team than the outcome of the game.I need to see domination on the road at UGA and no let down if we pull that one out. Maybe we have turned a corner and still have championship games ahead of us.
I don't expect "domination" of UGA, especially seeing that they are still a very good team. What I need to see is competitive fire, discipline, and our team playing and being coached to a level that puts us in a position to win the game. I expect to win the game, but if we do the things above and still come out with a loss, you just have to tip your cap to UGA. They beat us.I need to see domination on the road at UGA and no let down if we pull that one out. Maybe we have turned a corner and still have championship games ahead of us.
Yes, I think the lack of a pass rush and quarterbacks that can run will give us fits for the rest of the season. I saw several backups come in Saturday night who appeared to have explosive movement off the LOS and were consistently in the backfield. Granted, that could have been due to ULM already packing it in, and/or having their second and third tier players in as well. But if we've got a few guys on the depth chart that can provide explosive "get offs" on the DL I say we try to get them more reps during games.I am not confident at all in the defense. I think all of the remaining teams with a pulse on offense are going to score lots of points on us. Need a pass rush to develop quickly.
Yeah, I think Vandy, OU and awbern are going to be HUGE challenges for us...Yes, I think the lack of a pass rush and quarterbacks that can run will give us fits for the rest of the season. Right. When you really blow it and let someone down, you don't get that trust back in one sweeping, winsome gesture.I don’t yet either. I’m “wait and see” until the end of the season. But last night went the absolute best way that it could (and it could have gone several bad ways) so there is that.
Saw some of that but then still no sacks is scary. I just don’t like the scheme/way it’s implemented here and add in lack of inside dline guys. People like to claim they got better back end of year but the offenses got worse except LSU. Will stay hopeful though. Lawson should be stronger every week.Yes, I think the lack of a pass rush and quarterbacks that can run will give us fits for the rest of the season. Or at least get all of our away games moved to Tuscaloosa. They've shown what they can do against ULM. Maybe we should play ULM every week.
If we can sustain the effort and intensity we played with against ULM, we'll have a good season. We'll just have to wait and see if we can remain focused and not get complacent after this easy win.
I disagree…following a legend is proven to be difficult, but you never kick the GOAT out of the building…ever.DeBoer probably won't make it simply because following Saban's act is difficult. The way Saban treated the program the last couple of years did not help either. Saban exiting the building and stop commenting on the program might help. At least I hope he leaves before the next coach and enjoys the fruits of his labor.
Good on ya.Well....
