It also seems like that is a very untrue statement based on past finalists and winners.
Not sure about college but tj watt won it the last two years in the pro version according to their website dylan moses won the high school version some years back.
Look you all know that sec and BAMA hate exists all over the country. Everybody wants to beat the king and BAMA fatigue is real. I heard an announcer state that they were glad it was not the same old guard this year with the exception of us of course.
I also had some guy say that young and stroud were overhyped and because of blueblood bias is the only reason that pickett was not getting the same talk as those two lol. He said that pickett should be the front runner etc they have the same stats etc and that young and stroud got free passes for sub par performances against mediocre talent. Yes this is from a guy pushing pitt and pickett who played only 1 top 25 team #22 clem at pitt. I told him that I felt that young, stroud, walker, will anderson, and hutchinson, and pickett were the top candidates but that pickett was definitely not top 3. Just my opinion. I asked him to elaborate of course he did not.
