Haven't seen alot about this since the boast was made...think there is anything to it?
This?

Iranian authorities have rounded up alleged opposition activists ahead of celebrations Thursday to mark the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution when anti-government groups have called for protests, the country's top police official said.

The reported raids are part of a broad offensive by Iran's leadership to intimidate anti-government demonstrators from trying to disrupt state-backed celebrations Thursday of the 1979 overthrow of the pro-Western monarchy.

The New York Times reports that in addition to opposition activists the government has also imprisoned photographers, artists, children’s rights advocates, women’s rights activists, students and journalists.

Or this?

I was listening to a debate on talk radio whether two Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Tankers should be allowed into Boston Harbor on 2/11/10. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino had asked that they not be allowed in due to security concerns. But others say it's perfectly safe, that there's plenty of security and so on.

And my first impulse was to think, how likely is it that there would be such an attack on a known target with everyone watching?

And then I thought, well how likely would it be that an officer in the armed forces who openly stated that Islamic suicide bombers are equivalent to US soldiers who dive on armed grenades to save their comrades in arms could get away with killing 13 people on an army base?

And how likely would it be that a known terrorist who's own father turned him in to an overseas embassy could climb on a plane and set his underwear bomb on fire?

I thought their shock the world statement was more the unveiling of their space program.

I'm hearing they're starting a national e-mail service to bring the people closer to the truthful, consistent, human rights loving theocratic government. Club Turban, if you will.

Suspending Google in Iran.

We've been waiting on pins and needles, biting our fingernails for this? :p

Rebuild? I don't think there is much of a market to do anything with radiated soil. :p Besides, if something like that happened who knows where the dominoes stop. Heck, you have to know a country as threatened and nuclearly capable as Israel probably has a Arab ethnic cleansing 'button' in the case of that scenario. Consequences and fallout be damned, because after that they wouldnt be around to suffer anyway.

I agree. Israel won't wait for Iran's nukes to hit them before they release their own.
Unfortunately it won't stop there. India and Pakistan will both release their own and it will spread worldwide in a matter of moments. From that point on this economy, as lousy as it is now, will be the least of our problems.

Then the Global Warming crowd will really have something to sqawk about!
