Word of warning to CMS

Doesn't matter who made the call.

All you needed was half a yard.

Man on man. It's what hard-nosed football is all about.

With the game on the line, if you can't get that, you don't deserve to win.

I don't agree with the number of times we've run between the tackles today; but that particular play call was not that bad.

What make you sure he didn't?

Thats all we've done in short yardage.............we're you been?

Where have YOU been. It's probably been said here 50 times or more that Shula calls the plays.

Don't let a relationship put you in the unemployment line.

Rader has to go!

The 4th down and 1 play call @ midfield is all I can stomach.

Rader doesn't call the plays. That has been reported and confirmed I don't know how many times now.

It didn't matter what play we would have ran, up the middle, around the end etc. The bottom line is we HAD, and I mean HAD to be able to pass the ball and Pennington is unable to do that on a consistent basis. So, that in itself cuts out much of the play book. It is no secret that he just can't get it done in the passing department, which has limited and really hindered our offense.

Why is that Shula's fault? Pennington's ability or lack there of to execute the passing game IS NOT Coach Shula's fault.

I'm looking forward to next....

year with healthy players and a good recruiting year....

I "hate" to lose and to Auburn makes it that much worse.

It seems like alot of our fans/posters forget what kind of shape this team is in and they have played their hearts out. Lets all pull together and be true Bama Fans !!!!

It's hard to shoot a rifle when all you have in your pocket is bb's. Think about it.

Thank You! Some of you guys will just never get it! Darby and McClain are both hurt. You're missing both tight ends and your playing with an undersized true freshman. Give Shula a break. These guys played probably the best team in the nation until the end.

You're making our point. our running backs are so banged up that it is unlikely that they will be able to get the yard. That's why we should haves passed on at least ONE of the two downs.

RTR!
Chillout, This team has been through hell this year. Not a bad performance from a beatup Battered team. You've got to have some ammo in the gun before your able to do some damage. This team will be better next year, Auburn will not.

Why pass? When SP has been put in pressure situations to pass the ball he's either held the ball too long and gotten sacked or thrown an Int. I can see why Shula didn't call a pass. I wouldn't have either.

I dunno . . .

21-13 against a bunch of gimps, third-teamers and walk-ons.

Either they're overrated or Bama just played their hearts out and then some because I can't help but think that if we had even half of our injured starters back we would have scored one or two more times and, thus, win the ball game.

Gutsy play by the Tide players. We had our chances and just didn't get it done.

Better days are ahead.

And, oh yeah, a special thank you and kudos to our seniors. I think they are probably the best group we've ever had at the Capstone. They didn't win the most; but they have definitely been through the most and have endured and made us proud.

If I had to decide on a first rate offensive line or our 3rd string QB (Not taking anything away from SP. I think he good and getting better!), I think I would chose to go behind our line for 1 yard.

However, I don't feel that just because I am a better than average videogame coach, or I listen to John Madden regularly that I am qualified to make the call. CMS has done a wonderful job under the circumstances and it his job to make the decisions that he does. I am not going to play armchair QB or coach.

Funny, we saw some of the same things in our wins, but no one seems to complain after those games.

RTR - Great job this year fellas!

Over the last 4 years our seniors leave with a winning record, went to 2 bowl games while suffering through NCAA probation and 4 coaches. You would think we could show them some support.

:biga2:[/QUOTE I do not blame the players, the head coach is the one calling the same plays over and over in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Anytime Bama makes a mistake like the INT on the goal line he quits throwing and runs up the middle over and over. He has done that all year.

Going for it on 4th...

is playing not to lose? Have I visited Bryce Hospital. Oops. Forgot that most of that type of poster don't know what I'm talking about...

amazing, after such a great performance by our team, with all the injuries, and ncaa problems, coaching changes, there are people out there criticizing our coach. cant some of you see that because of his coaching the team was actually in a position at the end with an on side kick to tie this game. if he had said well what the heck i am going to let spencer turn it loose against a strong defense, and hope we can get some balls caught, forget the ones they catch. that missed touchdown in the endzone sealed the tempo of the game. perfect chance for a touchdown. he threw on a line to the linebacker, standing 8 yards in front of davidson. once he replaces madison, and stays injury free alabama will be a winner again looking for titles, instead of bowl opportunities.
