I talked with a personal friend of CHF over the weekend and according to him he has told him, "I should've stayed at Liberty...I had it made there. These people are crazy."

Go back and watch his post game conferences when he was at OM and Liberty and see if you can't tell the difference. The man looks absolutely miserable and as if he hasn't slept in two weeks. At some point the folks at the cow pasture are going to realize that maybe it isn't the coach but the program that is the problem. It looks like #BuyoutU is about to strike again soon... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I'm not sure what he thought he was walking into or what he could do once he got there. But he walked into a situation that in my opinion was talent dry. Players matter and the great Nick Saban said to Mal Moore that he was an average head coach but a helluva recruiter, LOL! Even Nick knew that regardless of how good he was as a coach, talent made the X's and O's go. I'm no talent evaluator, but from what I've seen at Auburn they are very low on talent on the offensive side of the ball and it doesn't matter what X's and O's Freeze runs, he's low on the Jimmy and Joe's.

He may be out at the end of the season if they finish 1-3 down the stretch with a couple of ugly losses. What is CHF’s buyout?

Skill wise I think they are much better than the record shows. The main issue I see is QB play. PF is a game manager and not a play maker and when those types of QB's have turnover issues it is a recipe for disaster. CHF has to take responsibility for this since he did not go out and get another QB from the portal and has evidently not developed his younger guys enough to take over the position from him.

As far as what CHF expected, I think many coaches have a complex where they think they will be able to do the unthinkable. Especially if they have been able to flip a program before in their career, which CHF has. Add to that millions of dollars and you will always find someone to come in and try to do what previous staffs have failed to do. I feel confident after listening to him talk in interviews and talking with folks who have spoken with him personally that he knew it was a rebuild situation, I don't think he expected it to be this bad though. Again, he is definitely without blame on many of those things...

I dont like Auburn, but its hard to blame the fans when you are 3-6 in your second year.

Indiana was 3-9 last year. Now no fan right in the head (I know we are talking about Auburn) should have expected him to go 10-2 or 11-2 this year, but asking for better than what he is doing is reasonable

auburn is not that low on talent. according to 247, the barn is #14 on talent composition in preseason.

CNS did and there was no portal. Freeze is mediocre at best.

and kirby went to the national championship his second season to lose a close on to the GOAT.

Still not a reasonable expectation for reality, but again you expect a lot better than what Freeze is doing

Freeze's inability to secure a top flight QB in the portal is going to seal his fate. Kind of surprising really but so be it SNASS.

Freeze will get one more year, but his seat will be plenty warm. His commitment to PT is interesting. Not a good look for CHF.

I wonder if he'll even pretend to prepare for ULM or aTm. Like last year, put all his eggs in one basket and prepare for only us.

While it's not certain (see New Mexico State last year), they'll probably beat ULM anyway. They'd trade a butt-whoopin' from aTm in exchange for a win against us in a nanosecond.

I could see them repeating last year's approach.

Then the question becomes whether 5-7 with a win over Alabama keeps him around? I think it probably does. What about 4-8 if they play it straight and actually prep for ULM and aTm? Maybe. Maybe not.

Regardless, does Freeze really want another year in the barn? I don't know.

I think you are right. He better make sure his texts are encrypted and he keeps any mischievous personal things out of the wrong hands because you can best believe there will be vultures looking to find a termination with cause on him in the coming months. I also don't see them keeping all the commits they currently have up until signing day. The headlines are starting to get quite negative. Look for some decommitments to start stacking up over the next month. This will only add a few layers of charcoal to an already hot seat.

Based off what I'm hearing he would be more than happy to take 20+ million and ride off into the sunset.
