Worst weather that Bama has played in

The 3-0 win over lsu in 1979 is another candidate for worst weather game. Great defense wasn’t the only reason for the win!
I remember trying to listen to that game on the radio. The signal would come and go so I was only able to listen to parts of the game. It was a nail-biter so I would get very upset when the signal would drop out.

Dear Lord. I was driving through Bham during the game. I had to open my car door in order to see the road.
That game was so frustrating, we were against the wind the entire 3rd quarter so we couldn't pass. Just as the 4th quarter was about to begin the wind changed directions so we were against the wind the entire 2nd half.

As for brutally hot, for me personally I’ll have to go with 2003 vs. South Florida - our final game at Legion Field.
I was at that LSU game in 1979, I was one of the lucky few that had a seat that was covered in the end zone. Felt like 50" of rain that night.

That LSU game in 1979 was a mess. QB Steadman Shealy struggled in the slop to move the Tide offense down the field, but twice in the first half he got us into position for field goals, and twice Alan McElroy missed. Midway through the 3rd qtr the Alabama drive stalled out at the LSU 17, and McElroy booted through a field goal for the game's only points. IIRC, LSU coach Charlie McClendon ("Cholly Mac") was fired at the end of the season, partly b/c it was his 9th consecutive loss to Bama..

The 1994 Alabama-Ole Miss game was paused at one point due to lightning.
And I think I read somewhere the weather was awful for the 1959 Liberty Bowl, which back then was played in Philly (not Memphis).

The 2000 Iron Bowl was awful rain, too.
I was at the Ole Miss game in 1994. Other than having to stop for lightning, the weather was ok.

Wasn’t the Iron Bowl that Fran phony coached his final game in miserable for that and the weather? IIRC, it was sleeting that day.
No, it was a miserable day, but not because of the weather. Dubose's last game, on the other hand, was awful on both counts.

2000 Iron Bowl was the worst I experienced. That halftime show had us march out and stand for a good 8 minutes playing at the jumbotron...in the literal freezing rain. And we couldn't wear our ponchos because the band director didn't like the look of those on the field (Thanks Ms. Scott). I didn't know joints could freeze like that until it was time to march off the field.

2001 Southern Miss game, delayed due to September 11th, was another fun one. Torrential rain, at Legion Field, after the Iron Bowl, and a night game. We had the option to play for basketball game that night. In my wisdom, I picked the football game. Wanna know how much water falls off the side of upper deck at Legion Field? Because it's not trivial. But hey, unlike the other two in the wall of text, we won this one and got a bowl bid out of it. Hurray, Shreveport...

2003 Arkansas holds a special place in my heart...My girlfriend at the time, wife now, was in a walking boot for that game but still couldn't put any weight on it. So, before the elephant stomp, we walked/crutched into the stadium and I carried her up the 106 steps to her seat. Then the lightning delay as we're getting ready for the pre-game show meant it was time for everyone to get in the concourses, but she was stuck there. I went back out, carried her down to the concourse, and we all hung out while the stormed dumped so much rain...Then, after carrying her back up to her seat, it's time for the pregame show! A little later...half time...A little later...overtime! and again! Bathroom break carry down and back through the first possession...Then, after carrying her back up to her seat, we lose. 106 steps back down to ground level, and we're finally done. 2/10 wouldn't recommend

Those were the days where I was convinced the players were fans of close games because that seemed to be all we ever played.

My mother was at the 1959 Liberty Bowl and always said that was the coldest she had ever been at a game.

I was at many of the games already mentioned. I'd add the Bama v. Georgia game in 2015 in Athens. It was raining when we left home the day before, rained all the way to Atlanta where we spent the night, was raining when we drove to and arrived in Athens, rained on the walk to the stadium, during warm-ups and on into the game. Just when you thought it couldn't rain any harder, the 4th quarter started and it did indeed do just that. It even rained all the way home. Of course, the outcome made it worthwhile.

Most miserable game I sat through was 2012 Mizzou. Between rains, fights, and weather delays it was pretty miserable.

2nd would be the whole day of 2015 LSU. The game was the only part of that day in which it wasn’t a damn monsoon.

But a lot of people I know saw 1992 SECCG was a miserable weather day and the 2000 USF game was the hottest one.

That 2003 Arkansas made me tired just reading it!
