In view of these numbers, why has all the focus been on "Alabama's played no good defenses." Why is it not "LSU's played no good offenses?" Their DBs have looked really good against mediocre, at best, WRs, by and large...
Because the media slant is always going to favor our opponents and what they've done right. Not how good we've been. Bama fatigue is a very real thing. Watch the Playoff Selection show tonight on ESPN and it will be apparent from the start. Jesse Palmer and Heather Dinich will bash our schedule from the word go.

Team passing efficiency defense:

LSU - #5
Alabama - #13

Team passing efficiency:

LSU - #106
Alabama - #1

LSU has faced two defenses with better passing efficiency rankings (Miami at #6 and Mississippi State at #7) with Georgia right behind Alabama at #14. Actually, Ole Miss at #103 and Southeastern Louisiana at #103 in FCS are the only teams outside the top 30.

Conversely, Louisville is the only offense with a worse passing efficiency rating than LSU on Alabama's schedule.

Alabama's offense hasn't faced a defense inside the top 90, though. Outside of Florida and Georgia, LSU's defense hasn't seen an offense inside the top 40.

Not really sure what to make of those numbers. Neither have played fabulous offenses or defenses thus far.

And that is what the media should be noting. Instead, all I'm hearing is disparagement of Bama's SOS. It's equally, or more, likely that our offense will expose their defense as the reverse...

I imagine we will see Jalen do some of the things we saw him do against Mizzou if he's healthy. There are a lot of plays that can be run off that pass play he completed. A lot.
That's why I hope Jalen's ankle is almost or at 100 percent.

I read that Coach O said he and LSU staff started prepping for Bama over the summer some. I am sure Saban did also for LSU. It would be interesting to read the scouting report Saban has on them this year and what Coach O has on Bama. Coach O said in one interview that he was embarrassed reading the scouting report last year after the game. Apparently one of the Bama staff members, who is a friend of his, gave it to him after the game.
Video of Jalen at practice yesterday suggests he's not going to be anywhere near 100%. Looked like he was struggling just to be weight on it, much less to move around. If he can't run, there's really no reason to play him.

Georgia has good offense potential but haven't really realized it to date. The Dawgs getting a ton of help from their defense much like LSU.
