What an amazing & awesome gesture made by this Police Officer..Gives ya faith once again in humanity..Wish we would hear more stories like this instead of the "Doom & Gloom" constantly being reported by the media..

Yeah, but that wouldn't fit the narrative. A young friend was griping about cops & how they're all power-hungry, ego-driven, etc. I sent my friend to watch video of the Boston Marathon explosions with the assignment to notice who ran toward (police & a couple of soldiers) vs. who ran away (everyone else). No judgement on those who ran away; I would've too! But huge respect for those who regularly run toward. And now I have another vid to tell them to watch. Thanks TM09!

TideMan, you have a knack for coming up with this sort of article. Keep 'em coming. Thanks.
I really appreciate that..It's gets old reading about all the crap going in our world..We all realize what's going on..I'd rather read about the good folks do that usually goes unnoticed..

if the cops who serve the public, like that one, would stop covering up for the cops who use their power to beat the hell out of people for no reason, then everyone would respect cops a lot more. unfortunately, the thin blue line all too often covers up the criminal behavior of their brethren.

My oldest son lives in birmingham and the way the cops treated him is unforgivable. A very law abiding person that didn't even have a speeding ticket was treated like scum. This is just a drop in the bucket. This man in my eyes is a true hero, God bless you man.

I always was on the side of cops until I dealt with the system. All I had was a traffic ticket but it opened my eyes to the criminal behavior engaged in by the police and the judicial system. I still have respect for cops, however I have zero respect for the judicial system.
