Don't you just love it when two media behemoths' battles injure the little people like us that they're supposedly trying to serve?

This will, obviously, get resolved sooner rather than later. But at least, for now, you're going to have to watch ESPN & ABC some other way.

I've been a HUGE fan of YouTube.tv since getting it 3 years ago and have promoted it here numerous times because it is so seamless and stream is high-quality.

fubo.tv is a good alternative and has a free trial with 200+ channels on their elite & premiere options.

Fortunately, they chose Bama's bye week to do this :D

For those of you with YouTube.TV looking for other options this weekend, Fubo.TV is an option:

Purchases made through our TideFans.shop, FuboTV and Amazon.com links may result in a commission being paid to TideFans.

I'm a new customer with them. Started back in August. Makes me angry.

I saw an advertisement for Hulu that said 29.99 a month, but I don't know the details OR if it can be cancelled anytime.

I'm going to wait until this time next week since we don't play this weekend and hope YTTV will get it ironed out. I think the fallout of losing ESPN/ABC during football season will be bad for them.

Not happy about this. Very inconvenient and in the middle of the season. SMH

I would say do a trial of one of these alternatives - fubo.tv or Hulu - and see what works for you at least during this period. I would bet it gets resolved tomorrow morning, but that's just me guessing.

I doubt this is solved quickly. This should have happened 2 months ago. They extended it to now. They have had 2 months to resolve this and haven't. Eventually it will be resolved but Disney will win out. Youtubetv prices will go up again and customers will suffer

This is my first season trying YTTV. Up to this point I've been able to watch any game I wanted-- there was no way that could last lol.

That $29.99 price does not include "Live TV" which is Hulu's YTTV like "cable" service. That is only for the Hulu (no live TV), Disney+, ESPN bundle. Of course, that bundle would get you football this weekend, but not other channels like locals, news or whatever you may want. $64.99 for three months (then 89.99) is the cheapest Hulu with Live TV sub.

For those who may be considering switching, Fubo does not have TBS/TNT and would be a bad choice for March Madness fans.

I really wish Disney would divest ESPN, but I reckon they have to raise prices to make up for the hundreds of millions they're losing releasing flop after flop. Other than college football, I have no use for anything Disney. I hope YTTV stands their ground and really wish we could opt out of ESPN altogether. I'd do ESPN unlimited for the 4-5 months of the year I actually watch it. If it's not back by next weekend, I can always head to a local establishment and watch there.

Argh...

This is not the first time this has happened and they've usually negotiated things out pretty quickly.

Check your local market for digital on air options... I am going to pull the rabbit ears back out for ABC.

Huntsville options listed below... Digital antenna is pretty solid last time I used it a few years back.

ESPN would require another option though...

I looked at several, DzynKing. Found a plan on line for a homemade one with a few scraps from the wood bin, some screws, leftover copper wire, and a $3 disposable grill screen from Lowes. Hung it in the attic and hooked it up to the TV. I get about 40 channels and really good pictures from ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, etc.

I have directv stream so this is mostly just for the rare interruption, but I was really pleasantly surprised about the network picture quality.

This isn't exactly it, but close.

I have something that looks like this...
I use something similar. Great for watching Bama games on ABC. Purchased it from Amazon for about $30.
A few years ago I purchased a year subscription of Sling and ESPN was pulled from Sling just prior to the season starting. The following year I purchased Hulu with ESPN only to have ESPN pulled after 2 games.
That's when I bought the antenna and refused to pay for ESPN ever again. I listen to ESPN televised games on the radio now like I did as a kid.

Welp, I considered YTTV over my current HULU Live subscription before the season began. Glad I didn’t pull the trigger.
It’s YTTV now, it’s been Hulu in the past, it will be Hulu or Dish or anyone else in the future. Simply the nature of the beast that Disney and ESPN will strong arm every provider they can for whatever dollars they can squeeze out of them. This happens to some provider every single season.
