Question: Bryant-Denny South End Zone Jumbo-Tron on Fire

There have been reports that the demolition of the south endzone jumbo-tron has caused it to catch fire and that the fire department is on scene. If there is anyone down in Tuscaloosa that could confirm this that would be great. Otherwise I fear this post might get deleted as rumor...:eek2:

If I get any information I'll certainly post more on the subject.

True statement. I am 500 yards from BDS. I have no details, but the south end zone score board caught fire.

but i'm kinda bummed there isn't going to be a jumbotron on that side next season? I assume they won't add the corner ones till it's complete, right?

I agree with you, unfortunately the south endzone is to have the same setup as the north endzone; 2 medium size displays (one in each corner).

The upper deck will also mimic the construction screw-up..errr...I mean architectural design of the north endzone...meaning basically that it won't be connected to the east and west upper deck.

I'm dying to give out more details, but it wouldn't be ethically correct atm. When the time is right I'll let ya'll know more details about the design.
