So, could we have has Storm Johnson if we wanted him, or did he just not make the cut? Because now that the possibility of another tailback has been brought up, it makes me think that Storm just wasn't gonna come to Bama anyway.

I'd look for us to go after some elite ones next year. Fowler isn't a slouch in this class and maybe the coaches are liking what they see in young guys already on campus like Goode and Lacy, its just Ingram, TR, and Upchurch are better. It is a down yr for the RB prospects, either Saban has found some guy that nobody else is looking at or we are going to get 2-3 in nxt yrs class.

I don't know who your sources are, but I like what they're saying.
Do you know if it's an either/or kind of situation with Arie K and Stone, or would we take both?
Thanks for weighing in.
Is it an EITHER/OR for Fulton and Harris or BOTH?
How high are we on Mr. Hubbard's board?
I think Bama will take 5 more commits, 1 or 2 OL, 1 DL, 1 LB, and 1 or 2 DB.Don't include them all just yet . To be on the safer side , only count 1 of them towards 2010 . Also , there will be a couple of guys who do not actually sign . So , no matter how one chooses to count them , there will be more than 28 equations to solve over the Summer . The only way this doesn't come to pass is if the bottom completely falls out - and it won't
Yes . Possibly all 3 . The reason there is no definitive answer at this time is because of Phelon Jones and not knowing when he was/is placed on scholarship .
As far as remaining targets go .... I expect 6 or more additions to the class . If everything breaks right I'm expecting 2 OL , 1 DL , 1 LB & 2 DB with a pretty good possibility of 1 more WR . After Christmas break we'll likely hear about a new target @ RB as well . We'll see![]()
According to the new limitations put in place by the SEC, each school is allowed to sign no more than 28 prospects, which could make for an interesting signing day at several institutions. Alabama coach Nick Saban has proved to be a master at juggling the numbers in years past in regards to possible back-counting prospects and grayshirts.
Considering three Crimson Tide players grayshirted from the latest class, it will be fascinating to see how Saban tries to crunch the numbers this time around. The goal for Alabama -- and any SEC program -- should be to avoid having to turn down a recruit because of space limitations.
Thanks for the update.
Given your report on Fulton . . .
It's 6 p.m., do you know where your BlakeSmash is?![]()
Not me. Been saying the same thing for a while now.I can't go into details, but the Fulton sweepstakes have not been decided yet. Both sides are very confident and both have good reasons to be. I won't be surprised if he ends up at BAMA, SCAR or UF. UF has been in it more than most think.
.... or if academics were to become a factor again for either or both .I hope Goode is coming along, as it was pointed out to me earlier. Upchurch is gone, Ingram will leave after nxt yr so going into 2011 season we will have Lacy and whoever else. Goode hasn't looked very "good" Lacy is a great looking back but we don't have anyone behind him at the moment. Fowler looks good but it is still thin. Fowler or Lacy gets hurt and we are down to one good RB again. Next yr will be interesting with Ingram at #1, Richardson at #2, and Lacy at #3.
The barners are already nervous about Coleman . Had two of them calling about him todayNo, staff wants two more tackles. They want Arie and Stone to fill those spots even though Stone might end up being an interior guy.
If we feel we are slipping for either one expect a full press for Coleman. If we press for Coleman then you can draw conclusions that we will likely miss on Arie or Stone.
Stone is hard to read, but we are in great shape for him. At this point if Coleman gets a commitable offer then he will be ours.
I'm still good :biggrin2:, but I decided I'll sit out of the back and forth with John Fulton until he announces. Am I still confident? Absolutely :biggrin2:Thanks for the update.

Good for you, bud. Thanks for keeping your eye on us.I'm still good :biggrin2:, but I decided I'll sit out of the back and forth with John Fulton until he announces. Am I still confident? Absolutely :biggrin2:
We are done at RB and WR (barring an elite prospect wanting to commit)Could be Mustafa Greene still be an option for us at RB? I have not heard much about him recently.
Bowtie: So signing day is a month off. Does that change our odds in either way?
