I take great pleasure in seeing Auburn having a miserable day. I took great pleasure in seeing Fullmer fired. I took great pleasure watching Texas struggle last night and I took some pleasure in seeing tears flow down Tebow's cheeks because Alabama not Florida was victorious. Yea Alabama!
My thoughts as well. I had been waiting since last year's loss to see those tears....and it was worth the wait. Roll Tide!

I don't think there's anything wrong with having laughs at TT's expense about him crying. I think this year he has called a lot of attention to himself, whereas in the past he struck me as much humbler.

Tim Tebow could have been Secretariat but has been relegated to Big Brown. It is sad.

I've always felt that a lot of the hype around Tebow is all media-generated hogwash. From him "willing his teammates", his sideline explosions, the "he's the chosen one" garbage that we've heard ad nauseum...when you live by it, you die by it. And when you're BEAT TO SLEEP by a team who is out for revenge, you don't necessarily deserve the grief, but you have to expect it and accept it.

Good points.

If everyone would read and comprehend this, then there would not be much else to say. It's already been shown that the main poster that is in attack mode against anyone ribbing Tebow made fun of the Auburn quarterback's loss in the Iron Bowl in a more perverse fashion imo. There has to be a reason for this picking and choosing, and it doesn't belong on this board according to the laws of the land.

Plus, the Auburn QB may be the most spiritual giving person in college football but due to his average play, or his choosing, that aspect is left private.

He did nothing worthy of comment, Tebow did imo.

Crying at the loss of a game is light years away from the men and women serving our country and seeing their friends die, that's something to shed a tear over. I was in that position in 92, so maybe it's made me look at things differently.

Warriors don't behave that way. They go out with their heads up.

I would caution that there is still one more HUGE game to play and if the worst were to happen it might be our boys out there crying and think how we would feel if we knew another fan base were out there making fun of our players~!~
I am not saying that I have switched sides and I still don't like all the media love for the guy but making fun of him because he has a PASSION for CFB is a little hypercritcal don't ya think???????
We as BAMA fans have more passion and tradition than any team in CFB but yet we make fun of a guy who shows a love of the game?? I will just say be careful of how you drive the karma bus because you just never know when it will stop at a railroad crossing~!~

By the way I have served in 2 wars and seen many of my friends life end and I have lost some very big games and I cried for both. The purpose for each was different and while one came from true heartache the other was just as close to my heart because there is always that feeling you let your team down...

I understand the dis-like of tebow. I have the same feelings and yet have never met the guy, the media has driven his love/hate status to an all time level. What I am a little dis-couraged to see is BAMA fans enjoying the process a little too much. Yes I know if I don't like it then don't read and post on it but you are my brothers and sisters of the BAMA NATION and I would say the same thing to any one of my family members at home~!~

I didn't read your post before I posted but you are exactly right. To have passion for something, like we Bama fans do, emotions are going to come out. Crying for something you deeply care about is not the worse thing in the world by far. Roll Tide!!!:BigA::BigA::BigA:

What more do you want him to do? He cares a lot and it hurts to lose. Sorry he showed his emotions. In his post game interview, he talked about our "classy team and classy program," said we were the best team today and deserved everything we got. Of course, I am much happier with Tim sad than celebrating, but this thread is pathetic.
Dang I never thought I would see the day me and BiB agreed on ANYTHING but..........

Can I look through your threads and see if you have defended player's we have made light off? Or is this a first?

It's o.k to be a first, but I am curious to why you have come out of the closet on this occasion?

Also, have you ever laughed at a player or coach or team while a member of this forum, which is easy to look up.

Exactly.

I learned this the hard way growing up playing sports, by the time I got to high school I learned I didn't like having my face rubbed in it. No disrespect intended toward anyone, but I think as fans we sometimes lose sight of this. At some point Alabama will be on the other side of this issue. I think that's the way it goes when you are at the top.

We are human. There are cases when it's virtually impossible to not gloat at another team or player like after the '93 Sugar Bowl. Miami talked so much trash and boasted Alabama did not belong on the same field as them. It took a big, big, big person to not gloat, laugh and boast about what Alabama did to Miami after the way Miami conducted themselves leading up to the '93 Sugar Bowl. After everything Lamar Thomas said leading up to the game, it's really hard to not gloat or laugh with him sitting on the sidelines with a towel over his head after George Teague chased him down and took the ball away from him.

I just think as a rule it always a better to treat an opponent with respect and not laugh, gloat or make fun of them. Under the circumstances I just didn't think Tebow had done anything to warrant anyone laughing at him or gloating about him crying that's all.

What goes around comes around.

JMHO.

I might have if it was the barn or ucheat but is that REALLY the same as what is going on here??
