Just as the excitement for NSD getting here...now this.

I think you should go with someone who is a) proven winner b) mature c) classy...and I look for someone in that order. You need the anti-Kiffin.

I'm looking at this from an SEC / rivalry perspective. I think it is not good at all for some of the big dogs of the SEC to be laughing stocks. We need a strong UA & AU & LSU in the west and a strong UF & UT & UGA in the east. If the UA-UT rivalry is to ever get back to being one of mutual respect, that's what you have to have. No more narcissistic half wits. Two in a row is enough.

Patterson would be a great get if you could keep a couple of the asst coaches to save the recruiting class. Of course, most of the recruits will stay.

I haven't thought about it for very long (obviously) but I'll say this much... I think it's a long term blessing for UT. Kiffin was ridiculous and train wreck in my opinion. It was a matter of time before things caught up to him. Now he goes to a place in which things were already catching up...

I imagine some sort of exchange between Kiffin and UT. Kiffin goes to UT "I want a raise, USC is offering me the job". UT: "No"... sometimes problems go away on their own. Just hope UT doesn't bring in someone that's willing to sign rapists and consider it a improvement.
