Question: How do you temper your anxiety prior to UA games?

I use the drink I affectionally refer to as "The Alabama Gameday" . The recipe is fairly simple but you can write it down just in case:

1 plastic cup obtained previously at Bryant Denny Stadium
1 cup of crushed ice
6-12 ounces of Gentleman Jack (you may use other premium whiskeys, scotch or bourbon if you prefer)

Sip, drink or gulp as dictated by mood, temperature and ability to hold you alcohol.

I have the exact same recipe.....thats strange...

ROLL TIDE !! :BigA:

I don't. I seriously scared my wife's grandparents during the Arky game. Apparently, I hurdled the couch when we made the pick that led to the go ahead score.

LOL... when my kids were very young I used to scare them also... my wife would shoot me a dirty look as they would ask what's wrong with daddy... they've since grown to know I'm a different person on game day....

Very close to Columbus Air Force Base! And you are so right, there is nothing this sleepy little town offers as far as recreation! And my grandchildren say Mr. Happy and I are "old as dirt." We're mid-century...LOL

New Hope/ Heritage Academy product here.:cool2:

Sex.

What's wrong with you people?

I start out the morning with my usual 5 and 1/4 mile walk. Nothing like a nice walk to clear your head. I don't sleep late so I am up early. Maybe go over my mother's house and do some chores. Sometimes I'll go to Costco up the street and grab some free eats

OMG - I didn't see you live in my old hometown of Columbus, MS.

What part? New Hope? Main Street?

I used to lose it there because there's not so much to do. I used to do car work before the game and into the first quarter so I had to focus and calm down.

I graduated from Caledonia.

I lived in Aberdeen for 5 years. I went to Oak Hill in West Point. The few things I miss about that area are Anthony's in WP (good place to eat for those that go to a game in Starkville) and Pepper's Deli (another good place to eat).

I just scream and get upset. I don't temper it. According to my girlfriend, I ran around my house flapping my arms like a bird yelling like a crazy man when Dre got his pick.

I was wandering why you had an Auburn avatar next to your name. I figured out you took one for the team in the hat thread :).

Drink a beer with my smoker and smell the pork shoulder at 150 degrees a couple of hours before the game. Gotta love Alabama football Saturdays!

Sidenote: When did Pizza Hut buy the rights to page 3??

On game day? Old school here....never......

Don't old school me! I invented old school!!

Now, if I was playing in the game, no. No sex. Otherwise, I figure I have enough fire to give my all as a spectator.

My son was born in West Point.

Pepper's closed? (I haven't been back in six years).

I like "The Grill."

Day-umm! How in the world do you stay conscious???

Bacardi & Coke does help, a little, except for the 11:30 games.

LOL, I actually did fall asleep before the SECCG. I really don't have any trouble staying focused on the game. Keep in mind that I'm not mixing any alcohol with that (which would be stupid and very dangerous).

1 - pitcher of margueritas
1 - pack of filter Kools
1 - hour of primal scream therapy

Pepper's was still open when I went back through Columbus in April. When I said I missed it, I meant I haven't eaten there since I moved in 2007. I wasn't the biggest fan of The Grill or Harvey's.
