Guys - not so good news for Douglas and the arrest. He is one heck of a player, but he has to get his head straight.

Personally, I want to see him do well since I am from the same area.

Well that really blows..I just don't understand what goes on in the heads of these Players..They're handed a golden key to a successful future by getting a scholly to play football..And then they just .... it away..Makes no sense if ya ask me..Sure they're young..But they're old enough to know not to "Look A Gift Horse In It's Mouth"..

Hope he can put his head on straight. He has to focus on playing football once he enrolled. I'm sure he'll get spanked by CNS:)
Many UT followers had poor things to say of Aaron. I dispelled most to sour grapes. Alabama has some good talent trying to win a starting spot on the O line. Douglas will not have an unlimited amount of chances to become a part of the rotation. I can't see coach Saban allowing a player to earn the left tackle spot if he is unreliable.

I wish the best for Aaron in his future wherever it may take him.

I think Mr. Douglas is just preparing for a Heisman run next year! If the past is any indication, he should have plenty of "integrity" left in the eyes of the Heisman voters...

I do not have a link - just heard on WHNT in Huntsville that Douglas was arrested in Merryville,(sp) TN on a DUI. I hope that is not a true story - not good if it is.
Here is a USA Today article on the unfortunate Douglas DUI story.

Former UT player Aaron Douglas charged with DUI - USATODAY.com
Former University of Tennessee offensive tackle Aaron Douglas has been charged with DUI.

The Daily Times of Maryville reports that Douglas, now with the University of Alabama, was arrested Thursday night and released on $1,000 bond.

A Blount County Jail official told The Associated Press he's uncertain whether Douglas has hired an attorney and a spokeswoman didn't immediately return a phone call.
