Collateral damage alert: Georgia fans have been mumbling on and off for days that Dickson will be back in play by Signing Day. If Georgia also gets Crowell and Drew, the pressure will surely grow on X to complete the set.

I would be floored if that happened. Dickson is all about Bama and a solid commit. He even has a picture of himself on his social media with a Bama Boy title on the picture.

I wouldn't be surprised if Drew ended up at UGA or another school besides Bama. I am no longer including him on the prospect list.

Crowell in my opinion right now is to close to call.

Oh well. I was at the J. Clyde in Birmingham munching chicken fingers and fried green tomatoes enjoying the company of a good buddy and downing two drafts of Avery Brewing Company's Ellie's Brown Ale.

We'll still whip UGA next time we play them, so best of luck to the young man.

You mean like Brent Calloway. Not being argumentive but it did happen. That said, I believe Dickson will stick with us.

I didn't say it doesn't happen, I said "just not often" and I consider Calloway an aberration, a fluke more then anything.

This has been a special (use that word lightly) recruiting season. I can assure you, IF CNS needs (not wants) a player, we (UA) most likely got him....... I am positive that those young men that just felt it was right to stay in their home states and go to their proverbial "Alabama's" did so. It shows character. If you are a running back at heart and dreamed all your life of playing that position, the by-Golly go for it regardless of the team. Some will do what it takes to go to the next level, some will only do what they have always dreamed of.... Its nice UA does not waste scholarships just to get the five stars like a lot of institutions do....... RTR, UA is stacked on talent and it will show in the next two seasons especially.

I think Dickson stays put, but the puppies are shouting about how he's going to switch, if they can only overcome his dad's hold on him.

I would be surprised but not shocked if XD changed his mind. Nor would I be shocked if Malcolm Mitchell, who admits to favoring Alabama for the entire year, wakes up in the morning and says, "What the heck did I just do?"

Yes and whats so very weird about it is the fact that we were 'supposedly' told that the defending nation champion from the year before always finishes big and best the next year not to mention we are Bama with CNS with the best coach,fans,facilities,academics in the nation and were having probelms closing. Not to mention a program that has a puppet coach in boogerland should not even be labeled a coach with fbi/ncaa probes is hanging over their heads right now and looming controversy and then you have a team in the eastern division of the conf who couldnt even beat central fla and finished 6-7 all the while we pummeled
mich st won 10 games and still looked great. Theres definitely something to this.

i don't get the meltdown over this one, recruiting isn't about who you miss on its about who you have, and we have a lot of great players in our class. were our staff to shut it down today we'd still have a better class than anyone in the conference. Mitchell is a great talent and our staff will move on to the next one, simple as that. its not like he spent two years committed to us, and slapped our team in the face on tv because the casino money was too much.

UGA has recruited well for a long time, and they have and will continue to suck.

Agreed. It almost seems like MM was a silent verbal though which might make the late change aggravating to the staff. That said I know CNS always has a plan.
