CB Floyd Raven signed with OM, OM voided it, and now signs with AtM.

You have to look at the fact that CNS is out on the road looking at 2012 prospects leading up to NSD 2011 as a good omen that this class is shaping up well. ;)
Good point. I was thinking the same thing when I read CNS was in Georgia looking at 2012 prospects. This class is obviously wrapped up as far as putting in the necessary work. All thats left is to sit back and see.

I doubt that happened or that Malcolm would switch his commitment to Bama. I think the Raven situation is just more of a slow playing situation due to limited space and the good possibilities or good feelings that Bama will be signing higher ranked prospects.

I highly doubt what I suggested is what is going on. I was just looking for some sort of an explanation as to why Bama would call him and then not talk to him again.

With CNS on the road recruiting for 2012, I wonder if the class is complete. There's not too much for the coaches to do at this point.

The point I intended to make was that it looks like this class is wrapped up. Now we just have to sit back and watch the magic happen. ;)

OK, CS, correct me if I am wrong...
We have 5 spots, of which CK, JC and IC are hoping to take three, correct? I see other prospects listed, but I thought Jernigan and Wright were out.
So either CNS knows he has AT LEAST 2 of the 3 aforementioned, or he knows something else none of us knows about...
Or he just knows there is nothing more to do..

This is what I've been wondering ever since Mitchell spurned us for UGA. 5 spots left. Little to no recruiting last weekend (as in number of visitors) and no mention of any visits this weekend. It seems we used up our big weekend mid-January with no commitments. Saban seems to be out and about recruiting for 2012 with little obvious 2011 activity. Like you I also wonder if that's it. I'm a worrier when it comes to Alabama football. I'm trying not to get stressed by all this recruiting drama or lack of current drama for the Tide.

I'm not sure if Bama has 5-spots. With such a small senior class in 2010 coupled with one transfer out and 3 juniors going pro it's a numbers crunch.

There is a numbers crunch, no doubt. The question is who's paying their own way?

I dont think we take 5 either, until this week i thought we might, but without many names circulating other than the big 3 left on the board and there respective fallback options, and wright. I don't think we add many more to this class unless we sweep the big three, and it looks like we just got on board to late with Raven, but I hope I'm wrong.

but I guess there is the possiblility the staff is looking at guys we dont even know about, but that would be a surprise.

So within 30 hours, Raven goes from an A&M commit to a guy waiting to announce Feb 1 or 2 to an Ole Miss commit.

Raise your hand if you love recruiting!

Saban and staff will visit the South Carolina prospects Thursday so not completely dead.

Also Scout lists Floyd as running a 4.66 40. Then Rivals lists him as a 4.4 40 guy.

re: CB Floyd Raven committed to Ole Miss

Scout.com: Coming Full Circle
Reserve, La., product Floyd Raven, rated a three-star cornerback by Scout.com, committed to Ole Miss late Tuesday night.

Floyd Raven originally committed to Ole Miss in December. A month later, however, he was back on the open market.

He had his reasons. Ole Miss safeties coach Kim Dameron, principally responsible for Raven’s recruitment, was no longer a member of the Rebel coaching staff. Raven, meanwhile, began to question his decision. He again wanted to weigh his options.

My question is, if we only get two out of the big three (and I think we all kinda know that is a high probability), then is that it?

Even if we don't get any of the three and we keep what we have, it will be an outstanding class full of potentially great recruits:)
