From what I'm gathering, we didn't call him back after the original phone call that got his hopes up.....and so he rushed back into OM.

I'm confused about this. The staff was in such a rush to call him but doesn't call him back. If the staff was in such a hurry to call him then doesn't call him back, I'm wondering if someone else has made a move.

I think we get any of those three that choose to commit to us, possibly pagan or clear also, and if we don't get any of those, we shut our class down. Honestly we have addressed all of our needs except at OT in this class and you could make an arguement about QB and CB, of which we dont have any realistic prospects left.
I also feel like OM gets raven and brassel. Also anyone thinking we are still recruiting EF is an idiot..plain and simple, we're a hat on his table so the Aubs can "steal" another one from bama.
unless we get a surprise visit this weekend, i think, and hope, it ends with cyrus and possibly pagan and/or clear.
i'm pessimistic on our chances at 2 of the 3, im slightly less than optimistic on getting one, i know what everyone is saying, but our staff has been getting hurt with all the "youre not good enough to play at bama" lines from the aubs and the "dream team (oh god please save my job)" crap from UGA as well as the "leave this state and we will murder you in your sleep" stuff from the cocks.

ok RTO, what's your take? We never had any true interest? found out something we didn't like? Moved things back to a previous target or just done with cb? Just seems odd.

Hahaha, you just nailed the 3 recruiting pitches perfectly. I also agree wholeheartedly with your assessment. Im almost sold that JC is a USCe lock, and IC is a definite UGA lock. I think we have about a 50% chance of landing Cyrus, though, and we will probably take commitments from Pagan and Clear too.

I still think he could get an offer from us.
I don't think we "rushed" to talk to him. I think we likely told him, we are considering an offer and you should come in for a visit. Then, silence for a few days and he's rushing to secure himself a spot somewhere.

My little brother is a member of the OM QB Club and an OM booster. He told me last night that if Alabama had offered, he would've come. If he got an offer from CNS, it was conditional. Raven chose Ole Miss because he didn't want to grayshirt.
