re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I didn't want to go to school where my older sister went, so I get that.

I think Alabama fans continue to underestimate the Auburn coaching staff...on and off the field. CGC and staff have done nothing but excel since he arrived at Auburn. Who would have thought it?

Oh, I don't think it'$ $urpri$ing at all once you con$ider the many rea$on$ for their obviou$ $ucce$$.

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I agree. I don't think they're going anywhere on the recruiting trail. But I'll reserve judgement until I see how much of a drop off they have this season and to see how their offense does in the next few years W/O Cam. Because before Cam they were a lot of flash but no bite. Cam and his freakish athletic ability is what got that offense to be "credible". Before then good defenses were able to adjust and stop it.

If it doesn't suck enough to be sick with the flu and bronchitis, this just gave me a stomach virus! I am shocked and furious!! As if I didn't have enough reasons to hate the Boogs, now I do!

I wonder what happens when they get hit with major sanctions stemming from the $camgate/PFP investigations?? Maybe he can transfer to Bama and be where he belongs! How can you ignore the potential for probation? I am flabbergasted.

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Auburn has a lot of really good , athletic OL to teach to play dirty, hope you stay above that CK. good luck,. I hope Arie understands the ramifications of his decision and how CK will be treated by Bama fans. It isn't personal, it's a rivalry. Jeez, 4 years of CBS and ESPN brother vs brother crap.

There...fixed it for you

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Almost certain chance Cyrus would have to red-shirt for Bama.......his pass blocking needs a lot of work, and we all saw how Fluker did at the beginning of the year pass-blocking, even after a red-shirt.

With Aaron Douglas, Fluker, Arie, and a few other OT jockeying for playing time.....there was a chance that Cyrus wouldn't see the field next year....his ego, he thinks he is three years and out for the NFL. At Bama, he would almost certain red shirt, Auburn, Cyrus will start next year. It's that simple.

Aaron Douglas is a proven Freshman All-American in the SEC.......Fluker put in his RS, and his lumps last year....he's gotten a lot better. Then there is 6-6 335 Arie who didn't see the field last year. There is one of the top OT out of High School, Tyler Love, who is now almost an after-thought. Who can blame Cyrus from taking the easy road....he's actually a smart kid, if you think about it.

And maybe Auburn will pony up the $200k cash again!

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Very odd...I don't understand it, but I'll wish him well. The barn will have a nasty Oline in a few.

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Guys, we have a top drawer class without CK, with some surprises that went our way today. It demeans the rest of the class if you let one AU signing ruin it for you. I would love to have had him, but I think it is okay to wish him well and remain a diehard Tide fan. Magnanga Boy, want to weigh in on CK's decision?

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Auburn whipped us again today, just like they did in during the 2nd half in late November. No way around it, they are recruiting at our level now. Ruined the day for me, especially knowing that we are now done for the day. Crowell coming? Get real, just setting ourselves up for another disaster. LOL @ all of the insiders from BOL and others claiming he was Bama bound. AU is going to have the best line in the nation in 3-4 years.

I wish people like you wouldn't post. You are a fair weather fan. You have no idea what faith, trust and commitment are. Maybe you didn't read the 100 or so times Crimson Surfer posted how "fluid" recruiting is. Auburn MAY have the best O line in three or four years, BUT while they are developing that we will compete for titles over that same span. I am asking you in as nice a way as possible, PLEASE don't post again.

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Maybe I'm reading way TOO much into this. But have you ever seen a kid that looked that scared, that defeated, that stressed out, that uncomfortable make that big of a decision before? He looked totally uncomfortable and scared. Sad -- oh well!!

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I wish Cyrus all the best. Auburn was his best choice if stepping in and starting from day 1 was his goal. iHe will be in good hands with Jeff Grimes as his position coach, he deserves a lot of the credit in taking Ziemba to the next level.

At the end of the day Bama will be fine at left tackle. If Cyrus' heart was not in Tuscaloosa it is best he is not here.

Ditto....This is why I was not surprised he we to the barn...he is probably already penciled in as the starter at LT.

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Hated to lose him but....

I got a bad feeling a few days ago when I heard someone said that he said something about "being his own man"-

I can imagine what kind of spew trooper-looper put in his ear.

Maybe he didn't want competition. I'd bet he was pretty much guaranteed a starting spot.

This is a decision of being selfish wanting to play now & not RS like Arie did..It's all good..There has never been one Player bigger than Bama Football..And Cyrus is no exception..It's a decision that will come back an bite Cyrus on his Tiger a** in the near future..Bama will win another NC before auburn will..Cyrus will never experience that feeling with sCam being gone..

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

For those familiar with Alabama's depth chart, did Bama need another OL this year? I know we've signed three others, but did we need a 5-star to be in good shape? Wonder if the staff had a plan "B" or if one was even needed.

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Yeah......Luginbill obviously has some inside info or an unbelievable gut feeling....or dumb luck.

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I am a little surprised, but not shocked because at the end of the day he's not going to New Mexico. Auburn has done a great job in recruiting the past couple of seasons. The offensive line they have recruited this year is very impressive. I can't wait to see how it will hold up against the Bama d in a couple of years.
So, I guess no OTs for us this year? (besides the JUCO Douglas)

re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Now that I've cleaned the vomit out of my throat, I've thought about this young man's decision....I believe he's just as bright as everyone has been saying. He sees immediate playing time at the barn, and whether their program has a successful run or not, he's setting himself up for 3 years of stand-out play and an early out to NFL. I wish him luck in his personal performance....

Trying to put a positive spin on it (which is impossible, BTW), the "Brother-Against-Brother" thing will bring even more national exposure to the rivalry.

Having said all that, I have to go throw up again...
