Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I hope Bama gets him but im thinking that he wants to go to the Barn but the parents are saying no cause the brothers being at two different universitys Makes it really hard on the parents.
This is asinine. I am sure that if the parents were on board with the Barn commitment, they would do everything in their power to make it work. I got the impression, after seeing the post-commitment video, that Mr. Kouandjio doesn't like something about the Barn. If so, he has very good instincts. He wants the best for his son, not what is easiest for the parents.

Lots of things are going around as of right now. And i think he wants to go there to play early and for other reasons if he didnt want to go there he wouldnt have said im planning on going to Auburn University. It would shock me if he changed his commitment not saying it cant happen but i dont think it will.

Ditto. Something is fishy about the whole thing.

He is no longer committed to Auburn so things have changed. Remind me again, what makes you an expert on Cyrus? I have drawn a blank.

Missed the Bama basketball game due to having a Bio test rescheduled for tomorrow, my new thoughts on the situation...

After watching his interview, I think Cyrus is a really, really good guy. I think his family is extremely classy and wants what is best for him. I have no idea how old Cyrus is, but when I was 17-18, I didn't really respect my Parent's opinion anywhere near as much as I should have. It is very obvious his family wants him to go to Bama, as his little sister rolls her eyes at :35 in the interview when Auburn is mentioned. I'd love to have him here with the Tide, he is a stud and very intelligent dude. Here is the difference in Bama and Auburn recruiting methods -

Bama: Is 100% honest with the recruit and recruits positively.

Barn: Tells a recruit what he wants to hear, relies on a lot of negative recruiting, and does things in a shady way (ie: bring in skanks, Tiger Prowl, Cam...)

His Parents have obviously seen through the lies.

there are some strange spins on this whole thing from a few people in here. i know everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but some of these responses are downright redonkulous...

I'm posing a hypothetical here. What if CK is really still a heavy Bama lean, or maybe even a lock. CK is a high profile reccruit. The Barn's licking their chops to embarrass Bama AND land a huge recruit at the same time. They offer money. He actually receives the money and under a preexisting agreement with Coach Saban and the ncaa he comes back and exposes the barnyard for the scumbags they are. I know this is black helicopter stuff but if CK comes back and says yep, they paid me... whatever.....(arbitrary number) 100,000. It came in an envelope from Rev. Chett Williams (or someone on the staff).
Would this not be the sting we've all been hoping for? Think about it...
Maybe I've been watching too many spy movies but this could be a possibility...... I hope..... I hope.....

I mean dont get me wrong I want Cyrus here bad. I got sick when he the words Awburn but idk i guess i feel like he isnt coming here.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

In regards to the guy mentioning that he doesn't like the yankees playing for us, he needs to know the following were some great yanks for the Tide: Joe Namath (PA), Derrick Lassic (NY) and Mark Ingram (MI). Each of these was great. I sense Cyrus could also be great.

Yea we'd be screwed if they stayed North huh? We'd have to take a few titles away with a Heisman and an all time regular season rushing season as well with a ton of other stats. Plus to me, Maryland is very close to the South. They were Neutral in the Civil War and even attacked a Massachusetts regiment in Baltimore if I'm not mistaken.

I think it is safe to say this didn't happen, but it sure would be nice.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Just got a text from tidesports. Says the Kouandjio decision may come down to a family vote. Wonder how many family members we're talking about here?

Well, we all know who Mom, Dad, and Sister are gonna vote for! IMO, just depends on how many other family members are gonna be in that vote!

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Sorry but taking off the Bama glasses. Auburn won the NC and are in need of OL which he would start there. They play in the SEC so why would he not like them. Sorry to think that does not appeal to any hs fb player would be foolish. Not to mention the other studs they are bringing it on that OL. They could develop into something special unlike at UA where he would have to earn his spot at the table.

In regards to the parents it does look like they want him at UA and not becaus eof Arie as much as CNS. He has a close family and you can tell a fmaily that the father is in charge of. I think the father has more respect for CNS and our staff and feels it will be a better place for his son. I think they let him go without them to AU because they really did not see it as an option until after he returned. But if the family has a say in this like some believe he will be at UA, but I believe if the decision is solely left up to Cyrus it will be the Barn..

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

After reading that latest article, my heart is broken for his entire family! This quote makes me have enormous respect for his father:
"… The only thing I can do with regard to his decision is to give him all the tools," Jean Claude Kouandjio said. "That way, he can analyze all the aspects of the problem. I can't decide for him because in the long run, two or three years from now, I don't want him to come back and say, ‘I went there because of you.' I want him to show courage, with the burden of any aspect of his decision. I don't want to be the person to decide. I raised him and (have) given him the responsibility. He's a little boy but he's grown enough to make a decision. That's all I can say.”
