Any rumblings yet today as to when he will make his final announcement? From what we heard yesterday, I would assume it would be fairly quick...

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

I have no clue about PFP but Trooper is dirty as they come as far as I am concerned. I do not understand how you recruit a player without the parents. CNS is known for recruiting the parents just as hard and the recruit, but Auburn does not bother with the parents. That would lead me to believe they do not want the parents to here what they are saying to them.

Anyway I wish Cyrus the best and hope whatever decision he makes he has no regret with.RTR
You should add Curtis Luper in there too. I've heard (from a good source) he is worse than Trooper. Funny thing is, the Barn will throw them both under the bus if they are caught. Check that...when they are caught.

I hope and pray Cyrus hasn't got caught up in the BS the Barn slings.

I think that's part of his dad's concern. That and the way the whole staff slimed their way in.

Would someone please come and hire either one of these? As good as they are in recruiting no one else comes calling for their services.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Okay, here's a question that I've yet to see anyone ask. I get the "Auburn is shady about having visits of recruits without their players." I get that. But what I can't understand is how does a recruit go on a visit to a college and his parents not know about it? Did these recruits who took official visits to Auburn do it without the knowledge of their parents? Or did the parents know about the visits and choose not to go?

Keep in mind I do not know the exact mechanics of how these visits work. So I maybe talking stupid and not know it. But in my feable mind I would think that if "Recruit A" from "XYX" town takes a visit to "College 123" which is three hours away that his parents would know about it. Wouldn't they? Because most of these visits aren't just one day trips if I understand correctly?

Did CK's visit to Auburn go unannounced and unknown to his parents? Or did his parents know about the visit to Auburn and simply choose not to go because they were under the impression that CK had already made his mind up?

No, he announced his final three visits and the dates weeks beforehand. I can't answer why the parents didn't go, but your speculation is supposedly correct. They thought it was just a visit not a lifetime commitment.

^^Check out the Walt Williams Facebook message. If he genuinely "read" Facebook comments to Cyrus as he claims, then I don't want anything to do with him anymore. We don't do business like this at Alabama, and we don't deal with runners/agents (ask Keenan Allen). Thank God we have a coach with class who does things the right way. I'm pretty upset at this situation now, and although it may not mean anything, I am considering sending an e-mail containing this to several media outlets.

edit - these emails have already been sent to several prominent media outlets, including SportsbyBrooks. Not by me, but just another piece of the puzzle in the Auburn web of shady recruiting.
I swore to myself I would never post in here, but here goes. YES, I am an "Aubie". However, I come from a family divided pretty evenly between Auburn and Bama, with a DEVOUT Bama mother. I pretty much try to stay out of "smack talk" out of respect for her and she does the same out of respect for me. I just really get tired of the whole "Nick is a saint" crap.

I know you absolutely do not care, but you do know this is why most Auburn fans hate you so much? The arrogance and "we could never do anything wrong" attitude. Bama has been knee deep in about as much crap as Auburn has and even my mother admits that. She is pretty "old school" and loved the Bear (who was no saint but a GREAT coach). For you ALL to sit on here and talk crap about Trooper and Luper, when Nick gets wrote up in at least one publication a week for some "off handed" recruiting is laughable. I know this will get deleted, because Auburn fans aren't allowed and especially with a differing opinion.

If Cyrus had committed to Bama yesterday on National TV and then pulled what has been pulled, you ALL would be whining too. Truth of the matter is whether you hate us or not, he should not have done it. Wasn't right - wasn't right if you are Georgia, wasn't right if you are USC, and yes wasn't right to do it to Auburn.

I think that Ck's parents knew he went to visit Auburn they just did not think he was serious about attending Auburn. A recruit from Louisiana is the one who's Grandmother did not know he was going and he went with someone who runs a youth group in there town who helps athletes with recruiting and he took the player to Auburn over the weekend and the grandmother did not know that he was going on the visit from what I read on it.

Are you kiddig?

The Kouandjio family is not reading this board tonight.

Ya, I'm sure they are reading this board around the dinner table and trying to iron it all out quickly:)
And just after you posted this, one ofhis family members posted. Yes, they do read the boards.

Isn't Trooper that grown man who wears a ballcap backwards? No wonder he has better luck recruiting kids when their parents aren't in town.

I understand the frustration regarding Cyrus, but to come here spouting off ridiculous crap like that is pretty silly. Best crawl back into your hole :)

Last I check I've heard no parents complain about Saban's recruiting style and compare him to a used-car salesman. I've heard no parents complain about Saban getting their child to Alabama without their permission. Oh yeah, that was Troopa and Lupa.

I missed the "write up" this week and last and the week before, etc... about Saban's "off handed" recruiting. I guess I'll go ask Walt Williams, ole boy Chette or Cecil Newton about all that.

The big difference is that Nick runs stop signs, while Auburn commits murder. I know the difference in those two transgressions may be slight in the minds of the "fambly", but to the rest of the world there is a huge difference. But we know how you feel - we had to suffer the consequences of the actions of our former rogue booster LY. It must be agonizing having to know what your BOT heavywieghts have done to destroy your program, and be able to do nothing about it.

Re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in

Actually you are welcome here even if your opinion is differing. What will get you booted is coming on a Bama board and acting a fool. As much as you get "tired of" from Bama we get "tired of" from you barners.

It is quite laughable. Both fanbases think they are so superior with regards to class, moral standards etc. Yet both programs have been on enough probation and sanctions that neither one should really bring it up to the other. Both of our programs (along with many other SEC teams) have been caught cheating at one point or the other so there ya go.

Don't let it bother you. Stick around a while, post a little bit, get to know some of us and you might like it. But to be up front, this is a Bama board so keep that in mind.
