Re: CJ Mosely

When I heard it was a hip injury I immediately started thinking of Bo Jackson. God I hope it's not that bad. I'm praying for ya CJ.

I very much dislike jersey tackling, but Jordan was attempting to tackle a linebacker after an interception he threw. I though they would take JJ out of the game for his own safety, but Bama showed class as usual and continued to spread the pain.

Re: CJ Mosely

It was reported last night by the medical staff on hand that it was a fracture that included possible nerve damage and could be career theartening. Has new news been reported that this was misdiagnosed and is indeed a hip injury?
God I hope they said the worst just "in case" (if that makes sense). I'd hate to see C.J.'s career end like that if true. His future was VERY bright. I almost got sick of my stomach when I seen the replays.

If Dre could have gotten to him at that moment, I don't think that Jefferson would have been able to come back in the game at all..

Players are so strong/big these days that many players can inflict serious injuries to another at will if they wanted to. Jordan Jefferson showed a perfect example of how you could injure a quarterback easily. Jump on him with all your weight, roll in the opposite direction of his knees bringing his upper body down by either a hand in the helmet or by the jersey.

I am not saying that that was his intent. He just caused a turnover and was attempting to tackle a huge player and prevent a TD.

Re: CJ Mosely

They showed the replay on SC and you could see the bottom of his foot pointing upward. Man I hope he is going to be ok.

I'm not sure who that doctor is, or if he was even at the game. Everything I have read of heard points to his hip.
I agree but no one has provided a link yet until I posted this one. Either way, CJ has a lot of work to do and I pray for a speedy recovery.

Re: CJ Mosely

I feared the absolute worst the moment Jefferson got up from the tackle and for a split second the camera showed CJ laying on the field. I could tell by the awkward position he was laying in that something wasn't right.

I am somewhat comforted that when they were carting him off the field, he was alone on the cart. It seems that if the injury was traumatic, a trainer would have been riding with him.

In any event, I pray for his speedy recovery (as well as Maze's).

Saban on C.J. Moseley: Dislocated hip, X-rays "were OK." If no damage to joint will be fine in 6 weeks.

I hope for CJ's sake it's not all that bad. Wasn't it an injury like this that led to Bo Jackson's retirement and subsequent hip replacement. Lord I hope this is not the case for CJ.

Bo had Avascular necrosis - it was discovered by a hip dislocation.

Re: CJ Mosely

I heard that this morning as well. Coach Saban sounded confident that CJ will be able to recover in time. Watching the injury happen last night, really turned my stomach initially. I hate to admit but when I first saw his leg and the position it was in, my first thoughts were Prothro and Theismann, i.e. gruesome injuries. I am pulling for CJ to have a quick recovery.....love watching him play.
