When Gundy said they'd throw 50 times, my first rhought was "you have to have time to throw." that was followed by "and set a record with 16 interceptions thrown" which was followed by "everybody has a plan until they get hit."
They wouldn't get 50 total plays. Bama would eat the clock and keep their offense on the sidelines. When they did get the field, our D would smother their immobile QB.

I agree. But remember this is the same guy who suggested his team would score 39 points (or 36) on LSU. LSU's D only gave up 13 TDs all year, so Mike's suggestion they'd get half a season in one game was comical.

Maybe we could swap schedules with them so they could earn a little respect. THEN fry em up in a bowl game.

They don't seem to understand the difference in the defenses. What I saw in both LSU / Bama games were press coverages, disguised coverages, sideline to sideline speed, very DISCIPLINED defenses and SURE tackling. What I saw in the previous bowls this season, including OK St vs Standford was a ton of missed tackles, very SOFT coverages, and very undisciplined defenses that were out of position on many plays. That is the difference and that is why the cry babies that wanted to see an "exciting" game of TD after TD did not get that in either LSU vs Bama football game. There are three phases to the game: Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. Alabama, LSU, and most of the other SEC teams emphasize defense. It might not be pretty, but it's darn good football in my book.
Also, if all of those other teams that were in a very good position to make it to that championship game after Bama lost to LSU would have taken care of business then they wouldn't have any reason to whine and cry. We lost a game, but it was not to Vanderbilt or Ole Miss, it was to the number 1 team in the nation that has not even scored a TD on our defense in 8 quarters now. The voters got it right. Ok, end of my rant! Celebrate good times, come on!

You cannot recognize true defensive skill unless you face it in person. OSU never sees anything like defense. They practice against the 107th ranked defense and expect everyone else to be the same.

If it's possible, I hate Oklahoma State more than Texas. How would you like to live in the same state as those vermin? There is no more envious, jealous, spiteful fanbase in college football. After tough losses in BCS championship games, every single OSU fan I encountered, on message boards, emails, or in person, every one had this huge smile, overjoyed to tell me how much they enjoyed watching the Sooners get beat. I had a mental picture of a bunch of pixies holding hands and dancing around. They had the nerve to question why Sooneer fans wouldn't root for them against Stanford. I'd root for the Taliban if they were playing OSU.
Ignore 'em, they'll savor their one and only good season in my lifetime for years.

There was a post of the 2008 Oklahoma results on the OK St message board amidst all the other posters claiming how they would have put up 40 or 50 points on either Bama or LSU. Oklahoma had scored between 45 and 60 points in virtually every game that year with the exception of the 14 they put up against Florida. While Florida's defense was very good that year, I don't think they were thought of in nearly the same light that either Bama's or LSU's was this year.

Okie St fans make auburn fans look smart..That's saying a lot..
Great answer.
I'm just glad that the Oklahoma, 'Little Brother' ain't in the SEC.
Paranoid to the Nth. degree, but, with the Auburn persecution complex...

I'm just glad that 'Okie Lite' has such a high opinion of them selves.
(Otherwise they'd have ZIP...)

Oddly enough it was completely ignored. I don't understand why.... ;)

I do not understand their thinking at all...They are so delusional it's not even funny. I actually pity them.....

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say if we played them it would be a lot like playing Ole Miss.
Wrong, it is to funny.

All bridges should be closed in Stillwater, these people are obviously out of their minds. I like how they believe that they could've whipped either team last night.

Hey Pokes, FYI....your defense is absolutely horrendous. You would not have stopped either one of us last night. And I don't care how many times Gundy wanted to pass, both teams would've played solid defense and crammed the ball down his throat. After listening to his comments I came away wondering who he actually thinks "didn't" belong in that game. I mean, he's arguing that he could've beat the loser worse than we did........what does that even mean?

Here's the deal, Oklahoma State had everything lined up perfectly for them and THEY BLEW IT. That is what's really eating at them. Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon are leaving and this was their best chance ever to get in to the BCSCG and they choked.
