As bad as their fans are the truly sad thing is the pathetic little head coach crying like a kid who had his lunch money taken away. I guess this is what someone who has to proclaim/scream he is a "man" feels is necessary.

If it's possible, I hate Oklahoma State more than Texas. How would you like to live in the same state as those vermin? There is no more envious, jealous, spiteful fanbase in college football. After tough losses in BCS championship games, every single OSU fan I encountered, on message boards, emails, or in person, every one had this huge smile, overjoyed to tell me how much they enjoyed watching the Sooners get beat. I had a mental picture of a bunch of pixies holding hands and dancing around. They had the nerve to question why Sooneer fans wouldn't root for them against Stanford. I'd root for the Taliban if they were playing OSU.
Ignore 'em, they'll savor their one and only good season in my lifetime for years.
They sound like Awbren fans to me.

Wishbone, I know you're a good friend here but I hope someone other than me recognizes the full on irony in the above passage. To be fair there's plenty of hyperbole from the Bama fans here to balance out your irony. ;)

As for me I believe OSU is a good bit better than a terrible OM team or a 6-6 MSU team. However there's no denying that OSU lost to the equivilent of Vanderbilt/MSU while Bama lost to LSU = no comparison. Anyone arguing to the contrary is either 'slow' or intellectually dishonest. I'd say OSU is pretty much equivalent to So Car. in reverse meaning one is strong offensively the other defensively.

Look what LSU did to Oregon and WVU and you have all you need to know about what would have happened to Oklahoma State's vaunted offense against LSU. Furthermore, they had one of the worst-ranked defenses in the NCAA. They'd have been lucky to have escaped against either team without it becoming a complete rout. To say it would have been lopsided is putting it mildly.

Frankly, I asked every single person who told me they thought that Oklahoma State deserved a shot whether they thought Oklahoma State had even an outside chance of competing with LSU and not one thought they did. And those weren't just SEC fans. I think that speaks volumes.

At the end of the day, I'm not going to lose any sleep over what they think. All that matters is OUR victory and OUR championship. They can have their misery and/or moral victories.

Swap OSU with Auburn and you will understand what its like to deal with Barners. Its called an inferiority complex, both OSU and the Barn have it.

All bridges should be closed in Stillwater, these people are obviously out of their minds. I like how they believe that they could've whipped either team last night.

Hey Pokes, FYI....your defense is absolutely horrendous. You would not have stopped either one of us last night. And I don't care how many times Gundy wanted to pass, both teams would've played solid defense and crammed the ball down his throat. After listening to his comments I came away wondering who he actually thinks "didn't" belong in that game. I mean, he's arguing that he could've beat the loser worse than we did........what does that even mean?

Here's the deal, Oklahoma State had everything lined up perfectly for them and THEY BLEW IT. That is what's really eating at them. Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon are leaving and this was their best chance ever to get in to the BCSCG and they choked.
The loser is who he would have been playing if he had been the #2 ranked team. What he doesn't see is that he would have been beaten 40-50 points by the winner, and 20-30 points by the loser.

Unless Okie Lite QB Brandon Weeden can complete passes while laying on his backside, playing Bama or LSU would have proven to be a disaster. Just ask Oregon.
Did anyone see a pocket to pass from Monday night?

Enough of this. ISU lost 7 of its final 10 games, 6 of those by double digits. That was a bad loss to a bad team. A comparable SEC loss would be Mississippi State or Kentucky. If Bama or LSU had lost to the likes of Mississippi State or Kentucky there is no way they would've been in discussion for the BCSCG this season... why does OSU think they deserve preferential treatment.

OSU finished 107th in total defense. The most comparable team to OSU in the SEC was Arkansas. Arkie & OSU had 2 common opponents. OSU beat TAM by 1 point, Arkie beat TAM by 4 points. OSU beat Kansas State by 7 points, Arkie beat them by 13 points. LSU and Bama DESTROYED Arkansas. The question if Bama and OSU played isn't how would the defense handle OSU's high powered but one-dimensional offense, the bigger question is would Bama's punter ever see the field against OSU's 107th rated defense (the answer is probably "no").

Nothing to see here, move on.
Well actually in 2007 lsu did lose to Kentucky and an unranked arkansas team but went on to jump 5 other teams to move into the #2 spot in the BCS so never say never.....

Just got banned from that board. Most of their problem with Bama was not winning the division, so I went on and asked them if they had any problem with the current NFL Champion who didn't win their division. Then pointed out that neither had the current NBA Champion. Nor the current MLB Champion. Guy with about 15K post immediately asked if I was too dense to recognize the difference. My reply to him was: Like dense enough to think you belonged in the BCSNCG after losing to Iowa State?

BOOM!

+1 Everything you state Wishbone is true. One outright conference championship in the last 60 years and now they are world beaters. They call OU's series with osu as a rivalry. Rivalry? One team has beaten the other team 17 times in 106 years of football is a rivalry? If this was about people instead of fb teams, OU would be charged with assault and battery.

Success breeds jealousy, and jealousy breeds contempt.

As Coach Bryant used to say, you can act like class, or you can act like _ss. You see which route osu has chosen.

It's bad enough they lost to Iowa State; losing to them so late in the season was (for them) fatal.

The inexcusable, and in fact contemptible, part is how quickly / easily they like to dig up the bodies of those killed in the airplane crash to trot out as an excuse for the loss. Strangely it didn't seem to bother them until middle of the 3rd quarter.... They seem to think that they should be "forgiven" their loss due to the death of the women's basketball coach. This behavior is so utterly cowardly it sickens me and reminds me of the terrorists who hide behind women and children as shields while firing on our troops. Gundy's behavior is just as deplorable so it's not a matter of "every fan base has their share of jerks".

I always kind of liked the Big12 and still like the Sooners. But Okie Lite has now joined the ranks of auburn and notre dame where I hope they lose every game they play.
