1969 Alabama vs. Auburn...Bobby McKinney had shut down Terry Beasley and then he pulled a hamstring. Auburn went on to thrash us after being down 17-0.

Why did you bring this up? It still hurts...

Bama / Penn State in 1985 or 1986 at Bryant/Denny. They beat us bad like 24-3 and we were never in the game. I believe they went on to win the NC.

Worst: BAMA-No. Ill in 2003. First and last BAMA game my 'Aggie wife' attended/will attend. We drove her SUV with her aTm crap on it praying it wouldn't get destroyed parked behind the strip. The game was horrible and her comment after the game was worse "I thought you told me I was gonna see how real football is played".... Guy behind us remarked "Only any idiot would call Shula ball real football." Then my wife had the audacity to comment BDS was nothing compared to Kyle Field. Hmmm... Almost as smart as her comment in monument park of Old Yankee Stadium "This place is a $%#! dump"....

Biggest regret: Passing up a ticket to this years National Title Game. A certain member on here thanked me for that one....

I must admit that the worst BAMA game that I have ever attended was when BAMA came up here to play Duke. I live in Hillsborough, NC about 15 minutes from the Duke campus, so I had to go there. First off, the stadium is like a hight school stadium, but the good thing was it was packed in crimson :). I loved watchin Julio, but Saban pulled him after the first quarter. Duke simply had nobody that could keep up with Julio. No, Duke could not even slow him down with double coverage :). Well, it was a blow out, but it was still better than the UNC games that i ususally attend. Because it was BAMA :).

Pretty much all of 2000. UCLA, Southern Miss, and Auburn, each were horrible in their own way.

Hands down the 1957 Alabama - Auburn game, if you wish to even call it a game. Probably Alabama's worst performance in a bad three year run under J.B. Whitworth.

Bama Vs Miss St. 2006: We lost the game 24-16.... but as my Dad and I watched the team warming up prior to the game we could tell it was going to be a bad day. It was the definition of 'Going through the Motions' as I had to watch my team 'lolly-gagging' around. In retrospect I can envision Shula giving them all Ice Cream cones in the locker room before they took the field.

As for the game it was over at halftime 24-10. Keep in mind that the Bulldogs QB was Michael Henig back then and he threw 2TD passes against us......and JPW countered by throwing a 51 yrd Pick 6....in fact he threw 2 INTS in the game an no TD's. Darby only had around 50 yrds rushing....no one cared....no one one showed up. Well I take that back because of all people DJ(Takes plays off) Hall had over 100 yrds receiving.

It was just a Horrible, Horrible day. The rumor is that this was the game where the wheels really went in motion to boot Shula out and get CNS in....So I guess this game was a necessary event to change the Team for the better..... but it was brutal to sit through.

Funny you mentioned this game because this was the worst Bama game I've attended as well. In retrospect, like you said, the wheels were probably in motion for CNS and if they weren't they definitely were afterwards. I just remember getting up to leave late in the 4th when it was obvious the game was out of reach and Miss St fans near us shouting "Don't leave! It's not over yet! We lost to Maine!!!" At that point I really wondered if Bama football would ever get back to being competitive on a national level, heck even a conference level. Amazing how quickly things changed.

I guess I hid this game in the back recesses of my mind. I hate to admit this but while watching this game on TV I actually got in my car and went to Home Depot during the 2nd half of the game and did not watch one play of the 2nd half. It was the worst game I have ever seen Bama play and my frustrations got the best of me and could not see my Tide get dragged across the field by Miss St.

I was at that one as well. It doesn't hurt as bad when you lose to the eventual NC.

We didn't play well that day, but I still remember how jacked up the stadium was pre-game...that was impressive. Of course, we got quiet pretty quick.

2010 Barn game. Still makes me want to puke. When Ingram's fumble rolled twenty yards in a straight line, I knew we were in trouble.

I try to forget those games, but if I had to pick one... I'd say our first game at the barn back in '89. Heartbreaking.

A close second would be the whooping Florida put on us at Legion Field in roughly '87 or so. That was just brutal.
