Can anyone remember the last time a Bama D had a box score like this?

A lot of you will be too young to remember it, but this reminded me of Bear Bryant vs. Johnny Vaught, Scott Hunter vs. Archie Manning, in Oct 1969. I was there at Legion Field with my granddaddy when the Tide rolled 33-32!

Coach Bryant fired defensive coordinator Donahue a couple of times during that game...

Good game, Roll Tide! Wasn't sure what to expect today from our O-line, but today they looked a lot more like last year's O-line than they looked against Va Tech a couple weeks ago. Our defense gave up too many big plays when Manziel had to wait in the pocket or scramble a little bit, secondary is our weakness, but overall, I think we played a great game! Gotta love having a coach like Saban and players like we have!

So happy for this win! Our guys did a great job staying focused and disciplined. They are still learning, and made a great step forward tonight. Roll Tide!

That last drive was key. We got into the end zone and ate up a lot of time, using as much of the play clock as we could every time. Thanks to Sumlin for not calling timeout on that drive.

Great win which took years off my life and statistically I don't have any to give away. Manziel is a real talent but if I don't have to see his spotty face again this year will be too soon.

My one wish for this game was granted when I saw the Tide in victory formation for the last play.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There was a lot of good to go with some bad today. Just the way Coach Saban likes it.

I would hate to have to sit in the secondary meetings this week.

Tim Brando is such a tool. Referring to Saban and Manziel next year... "If either of them is still there, which is up for some debate."

I wish he would just go away.

I remember the game well. My sister was at Ole Miss and I watched the game at my grandmother's house. My Dad said after the game he'd never seen a better game.

This game was very similar in that no lead ever felt safe.
