If I have my stats right he touched the ball 36 times this year for 443 yards and 4 touchdowns. ridiculous does not describe it. He has to come down to earth some, but - just - wow.

Defensive line stopped the run. They weren't successful at getting after the qb, but many times the dbs were so out of position, the dl had no time to do their job

Getting more carries next year (and I'm sure he will) will do that.
Henry's EARNING more carries for sure, but I think TJ will still be in the rotation without a doubt...
It's amazing to me that Yeldon was the first Bama back to gain 1000+ in his first two seasons, ...me thinks he's doing okay.

I think Yeldon had a little freshman slump (if a 1000 yard season can be called a slump), but I truly believe he's set for a big Junior year.

But, man, is Henry exciting to watch when he comes in for his rotation, cant wait to see more of that next year for sure.

Had the same thought. Dupree was so big powerful and fast. Henry seems to be in same mold. People take bad angles against him because they can't believe how fast he can move.
I'd compare him more to Eric Dickerson due to ED being more tall and lean than Dupree. Dupree was more in the Herschel Walker/Bo Jackson mold, unless my memory is off which is quite possible. :) All were great, great backs so to be compared to any of them is high praise indeed.

Based strictly on what I saw last night I would have to believe that Henry is #1 and TJY is #2 in the rotation. We've typically used multiple running backs so TJY should get plenty of carries. I would like to see him drop a few pounds and work on his quickness and speed. I don't think he has the burst to run away from the defense like Henry did last night. Last year I think he could have (e.g. LSU game) but not this year.

Yeldon approaches the LOS tentatively or patiently. In our zone blocking scheme sometimes that might be necessary.

However, he does that too often in my opinion and especially on short yardage situations.

Two things about Henry's emergence:

1. His H.S. offensive system, while it displayed his pure speed and power, probably also held him back in college because it required nothing of him except get the handoff and go score.

2. As I understand it, he would have been on the field sooner and more frequently this year if #1 wasn't true, especially in regards to picking up blitzes and qb protection. Now that that seems to be resolved watch out next year!!!

Yup. He showed a lot to build off of for next year. Too bad the game ended the way it did, he played one heck of a game.

Looks like we have issues at RB either way. Yeldon nor Drake can hold on to the ball. Yeldon seems to do it at the most inopportune time.

Drakes fumbles have been just like Yeldon's. Both guys are better than that. Don't know if its just a lack of concentration, technique or a combination. Very frustrating to see happen!

Not to change the subject, but if you got to see Bo S in the Under Armor game yesterday you already know that you have another freak on the way.

Future looks bright for this young man. We've got two more years to watch him grow into probably the most feared RB in the country. I mean, looking at him, I don't see any safety wanting to tackle him.

We don't need to forget about Tenpenny in that rotation as well. I thought he looked pretty good early in the year.

as long as we have a strong running game and strong defense, we will always be in the hunt for championships. With henry, we have half of that equation in check.. he's a little bigger and not as strong as Adrian Peterson but his runs reminded me of AP more than anyone.. AP would drag defenders and break through for long runs just like Henry did last night. it's hard to take angles on guys that big, strong and fast which is why they do so well in the open field. They dont need great offensive lines.
