That is not going to change next year. Coaching is not going to make him into a player that he is not. I think that he is a situational player who is always going to be a liability on passing downs.
It's not just pass coverage. He's not chasing down anyone running around the edge either.

Shane Lee looks like a Jack LB in this scheme but I don't think he's got the quick twitch to be more than a run-stopper. He's not our answer for pressuring the quarterback.

Christian Harris seems like he'll be a stud next year and really should've been an understudy to Moses this year learning the ropes.
I agree that Lee doesn’t seem to have the speed to be effective in coverage. He hustles, but just doesn’t have the speed in space. Maybe he can be more effective on the edge.

You say “we” when referring to Bama...and you also use “your”...hmmmm...and lay off the High and Mighty crap...
So it lands squarely on Saban's shoulders, but we weren't outcoached? And don't start with that crap if I think Alabama was outcoached I know nothing about football Mr High and mighty.

So the 34 other points given up on defense didn't decide the game? Go back and look at auburn's schedule and show me a game vs a non-scrub team where they put up 34. We were CLEARLY the better team but found a way to lose. Yet you say "luck" lol. If your kicker CAN'T KICK, please tell me why you wouldn't play more aggressive and try for a touchdown. How many times does the guy have to hit his head against the wall to learn his lesson? Oh and I'm sure the way the game ended on a stupid play was also not coaching right?

I'm not saying Saban isn't the GOAT. i'm just saying it's very frustrating as a fan to see the same story happen so many times in critical situations.

I know you are a resident Eeyore but I thoroughly disagree with this. A 3-point loss in which the refs gifted the winning team a FG and in which the losing team dominates TOP and yardage but throws two pick sixes != any coach being "schooled."
I’ll ignore the direct ad hominem attack of name-calling. We can argue semantics all day long—Bottom line, we’ve gone into JHS twice in a row now with a superior team and walked out the loser. You’re telling me that’s all due to blind luck and pixie dust, have I got that right? And don’t even think of saying I’m somehow suggesting we get rid of the GOAT coach which we have. In terms of proper preparation and having the this team ready to respond to every possibility, YES—this coach and by extension his staff got schooled according to definitions in my vocabulary!

I just don't see next year being any better. We are going to be absolutely shredded by the NFL draft. If people think the team is young now...

I think that is the biggest reason there is such angst.
Next year we probably just wipe the floor with USC and all the members of the pumper brigade will tell us that we can’t be stopped until reality sets in when we play UGA. If we beat LSU then we are a 11-1 team going to Atlanta if we don’t then I think we are a 10-2 team. I think unless we truly have something with Bryce Young then next year seems like a rebuilding year. Which our rebuilding years are better than 90% of others good years.

I just feel our defense is too far gone to expect a 1 year complete turnaround at this point, but we could still have a great offense to make up for those mistakes.

Hey, guys. Sorry. Just left Auburn. Hoarse. It was a fun but frustrating win.

Going to exile myself for a week or so.
LOL, you didn't do it. I'm sick about the result, but congratulations. What's your feeling about Malzahn? I'm guessing AU fans as a whole would love to see him leave, but the administration can't justify letting him go after that.

2007-2008 was an impressive turnaround, albeit against more easily defensed offenses...

That said, 2020 can be salvaged - but it will take heroic efforts and decisions by Saban to happen. Time will tell if he has the energy to push for it or not.

Georgia will lose a lot. So will LSU.

1) Bryant won most of those games without scholarship restrictions

2) Remind me how many times Bryant had to go face Auburn in Jordan Hare

3) Remind me how many times Saban had the good fortune to coach against Doug Barfield
Same amount of scholarship limitations the barn had.

Same amount of times the barn had to face Bama in Bryant-Denny.

I couldn’t tell you much of anything about Barfield (besides his mediocrity) but 2/3 isn’t bad.
