BTW, so far, no Alabama players sitting this one out. The "running list" is pretty thin.

Maybe we should just go ahead and put Tua on the list so one actually exists.
This is what I was thinking. I haven't seen a single name yet, but I keep reading how none will be playing in this game.

Aaron Suttles implied that some will be playing maybe even the majority? but there are also a few who he thinks are going to sit out.

This team did not win against one ranked opponent. Will this drive players that chose to go to a program with the tradition of Alabama. Team Pride, Alabama Factor, Warrior Mentality, are these buzzwords?
This team battled every game, you have to have heart and passion for football. Although some sitting is probably the smart financial decision.

Wow -- there's a lot of "stuff" going around here. Some of us need to disengage our "egos' from the team. What they do or don't do doesn't determine my life, my value or my joy. Even as a 60 year fan I still have a life outside of Bama football...

Secondly -- I am NEVER disappointed IN our players. Sometimes I am disappointed FOR them as they work as hard as any teams in football to achieve their goals. That's a big difference that many of us need to hear...

Have a great Christmas season...

Yeah, guys are saying nothing while pretending to say something. This is a perfect example.

I really get tired of hearing about how we ought to win every game simply because we have more talent. That holds true for most of our opponents. But UGA, UF, TAMU, Auburn, and LSU have closed the gap significantly and in the case of LSU and UGA their overall talent is equal or maybe better. No doubt injuries and NFL early departures have really impacted our depth and talent. Then some big recruiting misses and transfers added to the problem. Talent without player development is a recipe for what happened this year

For me at least, that is precisely what I meant. I'm not disappointed IN the team, just FOR the team. I'm not down in the dumps because of SELF-pity, but because I know they could have been so much more if just a few things bounced their way. It just seems like absolutely nothing broke our way this season.

So be it. Like I've said, we've got a really nice redemption shot in the Citrus Bowl. Now, an 11-2 finish that includes stomping the bear skunks and Hairball? That's a nice little season.

I do think the bowl can make this season be remembered more fondly. The 2010 squad dismantling a 1-loss Michigan State team gave us a taste of "what could've been" if that team had better health and a more reasonable schedule. The 2019 is only playing a 3-loss Michigan team, so there isn't quite as much to gain but winning a game against a quality opponent for the first time this season would give some forward momentum for 2020.

That bowl win also catapulted the 2011 team into what they would become over the next 2 years and really created the dynasty that we have all enjoyed watching since.

I strongly disagree. The 2010 and 2011 teams were very different. Most of the 2010 production was lost in 2011.
The nucleus of the 2011 team was on the 2010 team.

We may lose a ton of offensive production from this year's team (for sake of argument, let's say we do), but don't you think the returning players can learn from this year?

I think what he is meaning that those players and coaches that remained learned a lot from not only that 2010 season but what the program could do when its dialed in-hence the bowl game massacre. Coach Saban has mentioned that 2010 season and team in numerous interviews since.

The 2010 team wound up with 12 first round draft choices. Only four of them in the 2011 draft, so eight of them were back in 2011. Those eight went as follows: four in 2012, three in 2013, and one in 2014.

What I meant, and should have been understandable to anyone who really cared enough to try, is that Alabama football is freaking amazing. You don't appreciate it. It stuns me that so many of you simply cannot appreciate what you are living through. 10-2 season not enjoyable? That is freaking hilarious.

Whats does perspective mean?
Your perspective is the way you see something. If you think that toys corrupt children's minds, then from your perspective a toy shop is an evil place. Perspective has a Latin root meaning "look through" or "perceive," and all the meanings of perspective have something to do with looking.
