I believe Saban said ( or implied) that Tua had a top 15 NFL draft grade. Tua had already said that if he thought he would go in the top half of the first round then he would probably go. So... I think he declares for the draft. He will do great in the NFL.
Are you serious?Looks to me like it was INTENT to HURT Tua! They could have gotten him on the ground without the impact of 500+ lbs falling on his body. Hmmmmm. MSU's coach deserves to be FIRED IMHO.
He might go in the first round, but it would likely be very late in the round. Delpit is the only sure fire 1st rounder, IMO.I read today that Xavier McKinney got a 1st round grade today. I had heard he was thinking about staying but now with this 1st round grade, he may leave. It would be nice to have him back, but I understand if he leaves.
Right with you on Lewis. IMO he had a bit of a lackluster season overall. Not sure anyone will take a chance on him until late 2nd round or early 3rd.Just my opinion but JJ is the only junior going in the top 15 of the draft. If Tua were to choose to turn pro, I don’t think a GM will risk taking a QB whose future is still up in the air at the time of the draft. GM’s jobs can be lost by a bad draft selection. I just think there is to much unknown for Tua to turn pro. I also do not feel Wills will be in the top 15 after several other junior tackles have declared. I do not see Wills staying at tackle in the NFL. He could be a pro bowl long term guard with his power and his quick feet. I am surprised Smith hasn’t already said he is coming back. Ruggs I think comes back if Tua stays and goes if he doesn’t. Unfortunately for him, very deep WR draft and don’t think he goes higher than 25th. No one has mentioned Lewis because he has already decided to go but he is a day 2 guy. He has had a lot of pressure going back to last year from someone very close to him. Heard from a reliable source he could have played in the playoffs last year but was not allowed by that same someone and Saban said next man up.
Agree, but still understand why he would leave.Right with you on Lewis. IMO he had a bit of a lackluster season overall. Not sure anyone will take a chance on him until late 2nd round or early 3rd.
Oh, more than one said that, if we swapped QBs, they would beat us by TDs, so they know...Mac is certainly better than what UM fielded this year
All joking aside, if he were to be tested, I’m convinced that he would register on the spectrum. There is just something about Harbaugh that is off. He alienates anyone who spends any amount of time with him - even his own family members. I was happy when UM hired him, hoping that his oddity would outweigh his coaching ability.
I keep seeing "experts" all suggest Tua go.....and they are starting to make sense.
I'm starting to doubt he comes back......
ugh.....

We were #1 in Total Defense and #2 in Scoring Defense that season.Jake Coker led Bama to a national title against Deshaun Watson in 2015.
There was your error...jk
I mean hey anyone can have a change of heart at anytime.... but quite a few insiders on Bama forums have had Tua leaning towards coming back for weeks and just in the last two days they are saying it's likely to almost certain now.
There's been a lot of clues on social media that suggest more coming back than leaving as well.
CNS and UA have almost certainly put together a plan to have proper #1 NFL Draft Pick Insurance for him this time so that he has nothing to lose and something to gain vs trusting the words of flakey NFL GM's.
Plus I really can't trust myself that an NFL team will Draft him in the Top 5 when he can't even be tested in any way right now other than a recovery time frame.
Throw Top 15 evaluations out the window. Tua wants to get top value in contract #1 which for him is #1-2 Overall Pick at best and no worse than #5 overall.
I'm sticking with Tua coming back. It's more my gut/intuition coupled with Tua's words on the subject thus far than anything else...
