Hospital capacity improves recently at DCH despite COVID-19
Thursday, the number of hospitalizations dropped to 55. That’s lowest Tuscaloosa has experienced in a couple of weeks.www.wbrc.com
I'm afraid the improvement will be temporary.
Well the mayor executive ordered a mask ordinance starting tomorrow. The thing is that the ordinance the city council rejected actually had more teeth. The mayor's order only includes a $25 fine. I have spent more money in a drive through before.Montgomery needed for that mask ordinance to pass, in the worst way...

Well, some things prompted the quick announcement of the executive order. The mayor’s order was only issued for a week until the council can vote again. One member was absent from the meeting and indicated he would vote in favor of the ordinance. My councilman had a change of heart overnight. His daughter passed away from cancer last year, and his wife let him know that he would’ve voted for it had she still been alive. So, they should approve it officially 6-3 next week.Well the mayor executive ordered a mask ordinance starting tomorrow. it is just so maddening to watch
we all have friends like that. a guy from church just posted on face book a comparison of deadly diseases in the last 100 years or so that showed covid listed as 10th or so and he said 'this is what we shut down the world over' . i just responded... look at the date... march 3, 2020. i don't think i'll call him a ... idiot.it is just so maddening to watch
I had an old friend from high school that I frankly don't care much for any longer anyway pestering me to join him and about a half dozen or so other high school friends at a local Mexican place last night. I finally got him to stop when I called him an f-in idiot for even thinking they should be doing this. I am 100% certain I was an interesting topic of conversation but really could not care at all. I am far more bothered by them and their cavalier attitude towards the health of others.
It says a lot, none of it good, that we need to be told by the government to do what we should be doing for the good of all anyway.![]()

It's what he wants to believe. You can't do anything with that...we all have friends like that. a guy from church just posted on face book a comparison of deadly diseases in the last 100 years or so that showed covid listed as 10th or so and he said 'this is what we shut down the world over' . i just responded... look at the date... march 3, 2020. i don't think i'll call him a ... idiot.
gomer or goober seems more appropriate as to his thinking on this issue. otherwise he is a sharp guy.
did the same thing yesterday when i went to help a lady trim some palm trees. wee talked for 10 minutes before we realized we didn't have on mask but we were distanced as you were. i know you live in the rural areas and think it's cool to have an egg lady, more convenient than the store but what about price?Well, we've been so careful. Today, we had a young HVAC tech come in (lightning damage to our thermostat) I didn't think of a mask and he wasn't wearing one. At least he talked to me from six feet away. First person in our house, other than our postal carrier and egg lady, who were just at the door. Oh well, fingers crossed. It's just so easy to have a brain fart...
Well, in reverse, they are both cheaper and far, far fresher than store eggs. Convenience doesn't enter in, since we order all our groceries through Publix/Instacart (we had our first disaster with them yesterday) , with supplements from Costco, Fresh Market, and Whole Foods (all require masks). We're not exactly rural, since they've almost succeeded in paving all of Madison County, but yes, the egg people are from out in the county. We only have our three acres. They have quite a few customers here on Monte Sano...did the same thing yesterday when i went to help a lady trim some palm trees. wee talked for 10 minutes before we realized we didn't have on mask but we were distanced as you were. i know you live in the rural areas and think it's cool to have an egg lady, more convenient than the store but what about price?
You looked at Gwinnett's numbers? Looks like they are single-handedly keeping GA's numbers on the rise.
We rejoined a local farmer's co-op after they moved their location to 4 blocks from the house. So I won't have to go in the produce section at the grocery as a matter of routine anymore. Its an open, low volume venue.Well, in reverse, they are both cheaper and far, far fresher than store eggs.
