That being the case, I'd expect Freeze to stay at Liberty until a major job opens up where they would consider him for HC.
One thing is that recruiting has changed since the last time Alabama had to replace a coordinator. Alabama already has 25 players signed, there's just not much else out there. Even Texas has 18 signed.
I imagine Saban might be willing to do a bit of horse trading here. Sark is not direct competition, Alabama barely has any room left. I imagine if Sark keeps his focus on the championship game Saban would be more than willing to do what he can to make sure Sark can finish strong with this recruiting class.

In this class I don't really think it can. Most are already signed.
Except for a couple spots, the hay is in the barn for this class
Young will not go anywhere he has more talent here and pretty much the job handed to him. Texas has Casey Thompson who is a big time Quarterback prospect so they don’t need a quarterback. They also have the number 3 ranked quarterback from last year right behind Young in Card. They don’t need any more depth at quarterback.
It won’t be Freeze. I thought something like this when he yanked his name out of the AU search so suddenly. I was hoping it would not be the case but it is what it is. I just hope he DEMANDED total autonomy because the UT program is a totally different environment from what he has EVER been used to. It’s 180 different from things here. He will HATE it if he doesn’t clean house!!!!

If Sark actually does turn down Texas (money), wow. I wouldn't begrudge him leaving for a job like that as long as he finishes the job this season at Alabama.
If he does turn down that money, it likely is because he doesn’t want them running the show for him.........
