Last time I said I missed the excitement of close games was the week of the 2012 Texas A&M game. Learned my lesson, never taunted fate like that again and never will. I hope we crush everyone and the game is never in doubt.
I learned the same lesson. I bet we are not the only ones. 😀

It’s to the point that it’s safe to say if BoB won a cruise for this coming up weekend and took it then we probably beat Georgia if the replacement isn’t Marrone.
Honestly, if Coach Saban sent BoB and Marrone on a recruiting trip to Idaho today and left their seats empty until next Sunday morning, I'd feel better about Bama's chances of beating Georgia.
There is probably a GA on the staff who could step up.

I think paying Tom Brady to call plays via Skype would be a vast improvement. I mean we are basically paying a guy that made his name as an offensive “genius” by having Brady as his quarterback for one year…. Might as well get the real offensive mastermind for that season.

I never quit watching...but I also try not to invest too much emotional energy in young men who do not know I exist. Today I just said, "Let's see how we can get out of this funk..." Still hard to believe we won...

I do get upset when I don't see effort -- and from my perspective the OL was not trying in the first half. That was crazy bad...

Why did McLaughlin come in...injury or bad play by Dalcourt? I thought SM played better than the centers he replaced.

What about BRob's ankle? Any news?
I’m with you friend. I’m 64 now and I still watch almost every snap. I learned my lesson many years ago. I stopped having Bama heart palpitations. I no longer entrust my health to any football game, as I once did.

But this game, this year, made my heart flutter!

Rock and Roll Tide!

could The end be near? Nick being nice to players? Warning fans to enjoy the wins. Dancing with the team in the locker room. Smiling and laughing after close wins in onfield after game interviews.?? Makes you wonder, makes you nervous.
I think he realizes that you have to adapt to the ever changing environment of dealing with life. He‘s aged and a grandfather and is trying to enjoy things more. Each year and team is different with different personalities. The past year with the virus changed a lot of things unfortunately. Just my 2 cents.

I was really impressed by how many players “had their moment” so to speak:

Anderson was his usual self
Hellams had a great game
Battle never gave up on that tackle on Bigsby and forced him out of bounds
Reichard was clutch when he had to be
Trey got involved and made some plays later in the game
Jobe had a crucial INT
Owens played the game of his life in clutch time
Brooks caught the tying TD
Bolden scored in OT
Metchie did his thing and Bryce never let the team give up.
The defense only gave up 159 yards. This was a total TEAM win.

One final thing with BoB that is driving me nuts. Getting the play called in time to give Bryce a chance to make checks. And if it is on Bryce, then do something simpler. I’m tired of screaming at the tv “snap the ball!”.

.Additionally, why not more up tempo? Especially if we are struggling to find rhythm, why not? When we did, we caught them of guard. His play calling may have got him by in the NFL, but the college game is different.
My wife has been screaming the whole year "watch the clock"!

My first post here, but have read Tidefans for a long time. I will be a respectful guest and just want to talk football.

That was one of the most incredible Iron Bowls I have ever seen. This is why we watch SEC football. I actually am very glad Bama won that game, because I want the stakes to be as high as they get for the SECCG this Saturday.

Also, despite what I've read on here - no, most Georgia fans don't believe this game Saturday is in the bag for us. Most of us are fully aware that Bama is capable of pulling off the win. I have absolutely zero doubt that Saban will have this team ready to play its best game of 2021. That said, I'm sure Kirby will as well.

Thanks for allowing me take part in your discussions here.

Welcome to the board.
Is your strength coach back on the job? We hated to see him leave but have been happy with his replacement.

Scotty is back in some capacity, but I'm not sure what exactly he's doing. Kirby has been pretty tight-lipped about his role and Muschamp is running the special teams unit. Hard to say what his role is or what it will be going forward. Georgia never really got specific with what happened, other than to say he was taking time away for "mental health issues."

Welcome, nice post...RTR!!!
I live in Georgia and not to start this off in a rocky fashion, but thats just not true...Listen to the radio, watch TV, or listen to my voice mails...Y'all are laughing at 5.5 pts and saying it should be 20...It's been about 14 hours and I have texts,e-mails and vms from folks I haven't heard from in months, in some cases years, saying that we're going to get what's coming to us??? LOL...Let's Go!!!
