My first post here, but have read Tidefans for a long time. I will be a respectful guest and just want to talk football.

That was one of the most incredible Iron Bowls I have ever seen. This is why we watch SEC football. I actually am very glad Bama won that game, because I want the stakes to be as high as they get for the SECCG this Saturday.

Also, despite what I've read on here - no, most Georgia fans don't believe this game Saturday is in the bag for us. Most of us are fully aware that Bama is capable of pulling off the win. I have absolutely zero doubt that Saban will have this team ready to play its best game of 2021. That said, I'm sure Kirby will as well.

Thanks for allowing me take part in your discussions here.
Just don’t be an Uncle Lou type fan on here and we can all have fun for a week, month, or years. We love rival fans on here to give great perspectives. Also you have to understand that many of us have not had the best experiences amongst Georgia fans so try not to take things personally if we say something about Georgia fans. But other than that welcome.

What’s the deal with JT Daniels because he was billed as the savior of the Georgia offense when he transferred?

I have never seen a comeback win on the road in a hostile environment portrayed so negatively than what is going on this morning. The fuel is being poured on the fire 🔥 for Saturday. Let’s hope the O-Line responds to the chatter like the D has begun
Are you talking about the media or here. Because if it’s the latter then I would suggest you to look at 2014 Arkansas or 2020 Ole Miss because this board went in far worse of a frenzy over those two.

I was really impressed by how many players “had their moment” so to speak:

Anderson was his usual self
Hellams had a great game
Battle never gave up on that tackle on Bigsby and forced him out of bounds
Reichard was clutch when he had to be
Trey got involved and made some plays later in the game
Jobe had a crucial INT
Owens played the game of his life in clutch time
Brooks caught the tying TD
Bolden scored in OT
Metchie did his thing and Bryce never let the team give up.
The defense only gave up 159 yards. This was a total TEAM win.
Well stated. It is amazing this team won 11 games with all their warts and lack of coaching/gameplan at times. ATL will be incredibly tough but lets roll the dice and see what happens.

Truly amazing...incredibly young and inexperienced at many positions...yet we kept on winning. CNS is the best...but we already knew that.

Talking about the media, I respect everyones opinion here. Just got done reviewing the CFB recap shows and they are pretending Cincy is better, all of a sudden Michigan is great and Okie State should be leap frogging Alabama. SMH

I am so disgusted at this situation at QB, but it is what it is at this point. Kirby's put the saddle on his horse & he's riding him into the sunset good, bad, or different. I've gotten into so many heated arguments with my fellow UGA fans that I'm done arguing it with them.

Bottom line - JT is the better QB, no doubt. I've been saying for weeks that Kirby should have been getting him playing time to at least keep him up to game speed, but that fell on deaf ears. If Kirby is expecting a Jalen Hurts moment out of JT in the SECCG or a CFP game, he's betting on the wrong horse. JT isn't a dynamic QB and is limited in his mobility, but his accuracy and velocity is much better than SBIV. I've been hearing all season that we can't beat Bama with SBIV under center. I don't know that I believe that, but I would feel much better with JT under center. On any other SEC team, if you lined these two QB's up and told the coach to pick a starter, it would be JT. I'm not saying SBIV is trash. He's not, he's a good serviceable QB, and maybe he proves me wrong at the end of the year - but...I still would go with JT. I feel terrible for him. Transferred in with the starting job his and now he has to watch.

I'll tell you this - if Kirby blows this season and this generational team on a bad QB choice, UGA fans will never forgive him.

I'll take a win any day, especially in the Iron Bowl, regardless of how we got it. I would have rather played a better game the first 58 minutes but some part of me thoroughly enjoyed "Auburn-ing" Auburn in their own place. How we won that game is something we'd get done to us by them in their place. So, that type of win temporarily made me forget the utter crap show witnessed for the previous 58 minutes.

However, the win doesn't change the fact that we got totally exposed to the lack of quality coaching at the OC and OL positions. As I said it in the game thread, atrocious, hideous, trainwreck and utter trainwreck came to mind too many times during last night's game. If that doesn't force O'Brien and Marrone into the film room all week long to come up with something different than what they've been doing all year, nothing will. For the players, last night's game was really a Godsend, because that game will lay the foundation for the next national championship these underclassmen WILL WIN, mark it down! But for the present, it revealed what many of us had already thought and that's we have two serious weak links at two coaching positions on the offensive side of the ball.

Regarding Danielson's OCD over the 40 seconds. Yeah, he locked in on it and beat it like a rented mule, but he is exactly right. That is why coaches (in any sport) PREACH "the little things matter" in practice after practice. Things that to the average person is about as meaningless as indoor plumbing in an auburn trailer park, but can have game winning/losing consequences in the game. Gary pointed out one of those last night. Yeah, he chewed on it too much, but me being a youth baseball coach where the teaching of "doing the little things" and "fundamentals and hustle" win ballgames. I fully caught why Gary harped on it.

Everyone on Facebook STILL thinks the refs are in our pocket. The bottom line is our 11 guys had to play against 19 on every play.

Watched the same.....apparently good wins over SMU and Eastern Carolina are better than close wins against Arkansas and Auburn....and beating OU is better than a win against Ole Miss....i think they just want Bama out no matter what

Don’t know where to start, the bear hug on Battle on the play Bigsby went out of bounds which saved us LOL 😂. The pass INT on Williams not called. The holding downfield by AU’s corners all night. Danielson even addressed some of the poor calls.

Yep, Battle refused to let him go down. Gary kept ridiculing Bigsby for not going down, but it was more because of Battle.
Actually, I think Gary more was saying Bigsby should have known where he was on the field, the situation at hand and not to go out of bounds regardless of how he got there and simply FALL DOWN. Which he had an opportunity to do before engaging with Battle, just fall down and it more than likely does it for the game.

Kind of like when a guy catching a kickoff can forget where he is on the field and make a bad choice.

If the LSU game didn’t convince them to watch film then there is a fat chance this does either. I don’t think any rational Alabama fan came away from last night thinking “Our offensive play calling will be better for Georgia”. I mean LSU should have been a serious wake-up call but it obviously wasn’t. We need to stop getting guys that want to stink up the booth and have guys down on the field. Yes Kiffin annoyed the hell out of me playing the play clock so close but there was a method behind the madness. Here it seems it’s more of “ I don’t know what to do so I’ll wait for an adult” from O’Brien.

At some point someone else needs to be calling plays on offense. If that’s Bryce or some sideline coach then so be it. But right now we are either winning or losing a national championship based on our defensive performance and Bryce’s ability to put together Aaron Rodgers type drives. Our offensive play calling has totally checked out.

Over on Dawgnation , I found this Gem-

they will be insufferable if they win it all. Lucky it seems they have their best team when the rest of the CFB world is down.

Anyway, Get ready for the influx of bad puppies Over the next week..
That best team ever would lose to 2019 LSU and 2020 Bama...... in fact, they are basically the same personnel as last year with a few exceptions
