Question - did we corner blitz at all? Or go all out? Watching a couple of other games they are getting pressure bringing corners and safeties...cant remember if we tried to bring that kind of pressure
Yes - sent 5 a number of times but never really came close to Hooker. The sacks came from dlinemen, not the LBers. I really have no idea how that was possible. I won't re-watch the game to find out.

I wonder if there will be a statement from the sec on Monday about the targeting calls. Typically that’s when they do that. I just don’t see how there wasn’t two diff missed targeting calls.
Yeah, probably something like “ we have investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing”……… at the minimum that officiating crew should be filing unemployment claims
Monday

He made a mistake while competing. That's very different than not caring about his team. This is 2 weeks straight where you've taken personal shots at players in the wake of disappointing performances by the team. I don't like that.
Okay then.

he is acting stupid on purpose like pretty much every auburn fan does in these moments. He doesn’t care one bit about what B1G said he only is trying to justify his place in the thread after being told that he was being an obnoxious jerk. He knows dang well he could have hit the report button or pm’d a mod if he really thought it was over the line.
Your mods see it.

Is what it is. I'm right to call out his behavior and you know it. But again, you default to "the barner is just being a barner," just like I said.

You seem to be willfully forgetful that sports fandom tends to be rather tribal and that this is an Alabama board. How else can we interpret you? You can't possibly be this sanctimonious.

PAC 12 refs > SEC refs....a reversal of a targeting call that was spot on....putting the crew we had to shame!

Your mods have reiterated this rule on multiple occasions.
No personal attacks. I made none that I am aware of. If I am wrong, the mods will correct me. But what you are doing is just as wrong, IMO. You are getting personal with another poster over a disagreement.

Report me and move on.

If I’m Saban I’m keeping my mouth shut about the officiating. Last time he complained about a missed call they hit us with that flag the rest of the year it felt like.

That is absolutely why he hired Golding, but not BoB.
When we snagged Golding, he was viewed as one of the bright young defensive minds coming up the ranks. I think something about him impressed Saban, and he thought he could take another young guy and mold him into a force, much like he did Kirby.

Now, why didn’t that work? I don’t know. Why do we continue to stand by PG year after year? I don’t get it either. I do think he’s gotten marginally better, but games like this still happen far too often. There’s no debating that Golding has been a disappointment. Maybe youthful arrogance, maybe it’s a scheme not built for the SEC, maybe a combination of a lot of things.

But I can guaran-fricken-tee you, the thought; “This guy will be so mediocre that I can keep him for a decade” never entered Saban’s mind.
