We need to let that one go. Not worth entertaining. He does not want to come back to College Football.
He still fits the bill. I’m curious about the backup they offered the quarterback coaching job to just to keep Allen happy. Played at Texas Tech, but he makes over a million as a backup. There’s no way an unproven coach could get that much.

I'm telling you... It's not worth it. and no he doesn't fit our style.... He's not a unproven coach.....

Should’ve made another paragraph there.
Brady fits the bill. Sure most likely won’t happen.

It’s the backup qb the Bills offered their quarterbacks coach job to that intrigues me. They must think he’s got a lot of potential. The only reason he's not there instead of Brady is that he could make more money as a third string backup than as a quarterback coach. He's with the Giants now.

I get that he's double and triple teamed, but between all the nicknames, the preseason Heisman hype, etc.,.
I didn't see UT double teaming him that much. For the most part their tackle neutralized him. It's been happening quite a bit this year. he's just not the same guy he was. No clue why cause last year he was special.

Problem is it's not like one player is the issue:
1- Block in the back: kickoff return
2- Holding: Steen
3- PI: Arnold
4- Holding: kickoff return
5- Holding: McClellan
6- False start: Gibbs
7- Delay of game
8- PI: Branch
9- Offside: Latham (Jah-Marien)
10- False Start: Latham (JC)
11- Holding: Brockermeyer
12- Delay of game
13- False start: Latu
14- PI: Branch
15- PI: Moore
16- False start: HOlden
17- (haven't found this one)
For the season, TDA quoted as saying Steen has 3 holding calls; McKinstry and Branch each have 3 PIs. Others are scattered out across the entire team.

Questions Is - Can the coaching staff and leaders get this turned around in one week? It is doubtful and I think it is a culture problem that has creeped into the team.

I’m pretty sure Mike Leach learned a couple things from the TN tape
Possibly……….. I’m sure quite a few have, but if the team gets it together and plays like they are capable it might not matter

As for the “culture” problem, I’ve often wondered if there aren’t a couple of players who are causing issues

I've not mentioned it but I recall seeing Holden roll his eyes as if he was exasperated when a play call came in during the A&M game. My first thought was "run play", and of course, it was.

I don't know if this was a one-time thing or if this sort of behavior is common, but if you're helping the defense by not selling the route, not blocking, or even showing frustration with the play calls in a way that tips your hand, that's a liability...
If true then I find this absolutely astonishing, if not shocking. How could this happen on a Saban-coached team? Unbelievable.

Any member of Alabama’s football team who can’t appreciate the rivalry with Tennessee probably should play elsewhere. One of the oldest and most intense rivalries in the South, along with the Barn/Georgia (which I think is even older); the puke’s players sure didn’t forget about it. I think it’s sad that apparently Bama’s whole team did. Sad and not a good omen for what’s to come.

I’ve not noticed that about Holden, but it would not surprise me one bit. He’s shown flashes of talent, but his inconsistencies this year and attitude last year is part of the problem. He tries to run before wrapping up the ball, and is good for inexplicable drops throughout the game. He seems to have a “me first” attitude, and that either needs to get rectified, or exit stage left.

To be fair most of these kids weren’t even in kindergarten the last time Tennessee won a game in this series.
