And if it is, aren't most all the teams dealing with the same "distractions?"I'm constantly amazed at how fans keep bringing up NIL as if it's affecting the performance on the field.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm even more amazed to hear former athletes echoing the same thing. So I need to be destitute to perform?I'm constantly amazed at how fans keep bringing up NIL as if it's affecting the performance on the field.
I think the guy has seen enough. There will be some new personnel on the field this weekend. Everyone is on notice. No one is irreplaceable. When you combine Saban's comments toward the team about entitlement at positions, I can't help but shift my eyes to WR and other positions. Will Harrell finally play this weekend? WIll there be some changes at some positions?
I'm 99% certain WA has allowed the rat poison into his head. Several "wait and see" comments and we're all still waiting to see...Didn't Anderson say something recently about how he finds it insulting that other teams dare to take the field against Alabama, or something to that effect?
I've not mentioned it but I recall seeing Holden roll his eyes as if he was exasperated when a play call came in during the A&M game. My first thought was "run play", and of course, it was. When you combine Saban's comments toward the team about entitlement at positions, I can't help but shift my eyes to WR and other positions. Right, how in the world do the NFL players even play with all that money in their pockets.EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm even more amazed to hear former athletes echoing the same thing. So I need to be destitute to perform?
So you're saying we have to holden him accountable.I've not mentioned it but I recall seeing Holden roll his eyes as if he was exasperated when a play call came in during the A&M game. My first thought was "run play", and of course, it was.
I don't know if this was a one-time thing or if this sort of behavior is common, but if you're helping the defense by not selling the route, not blocking, or even showing frustration with the play calls in a way that tips your hand, that's a liability...
I can see the possibility, because at that age everything is a distraction from what amounts to a full time job plus a full time schooling. Some of these guys went from wondering how to buy something to wondering how many of something to buy. There's also time commitments to these NIL deals I imagine. Some guys may not handle that added stressor as well as others do.Right, how in the world do the NFL players even play with all that money in their pockets.![]()
And Sark was on the field with Mac Jones and Tua.Kiffin was on the field because he had Blake Sims and Jalen Hurts starting at QB for the first time and he needed to talk over things with them.
BoB doesn't need to explain things to Bryce. Bryce knows what he's doing.
Which Alex? Alabama has a few on staff.Yeah. Alex spends more time with the QBs I think. I don't even know if he has an official title but he's the one they talk to on the sideline.
I find that almost everyone who has recently cast some of the blame for this on NiL were the cast who hate NIL, and never wanted it implemented.I can see the possibility, because at that age everything is a distraction from what amounts to a full time job plus a full time schooling. I'm just speculating. The same problems were here last year: lack of focus penalties, fundamentals missing, and a complete lack of physicality.
Mort's sonWhich Alex? Alabama has a few on staff.
BoB is the official QB coach.
They should be, but I look for some zeal and fire this weekend as well…….. then go into the bye and get stuff sorted and finish strongI think the guy has seen enough. There will be some new personnel on the field this weekend. Everyone is on notice. No one is irreplaceable.
I'd donate....a very small amount mind you....to the fund to get BOB on the sideline to get chewed out on national TV by Saban. And Sark was on the field with Mac Jones and Tua.
But anyway, the main reason I want BoB on the field is to get his rear end chewed out by Coach Saban, in person.
I was always wondering who he was. I see him on the field all the time.Alex Mortensen - Football Analyst - Staff Directory - University of Alabama Athletics (rolltide.com)
