I said TIFWIW and a link would not be available yet. I personally know he is very well connected. He may be wrong but.....
TiderJack is correct. I've been watching the football board all over the place and it has been the same consensus on Jeff Lebby. Let's wait and see how this one goes.

Garrett Riley was never contacted by Saban.

BOB is gone.

I don't know anything on Golding, but I'll defer to ya'll who said he's gone... Jimmy Lake or Leonhard....

yeah, that’s the way I feel. Clemson’s defense played well in most games, the offense crapped the bed and gave little support.
A half decent OC can take advantage of Klubnik and the offensive talent available.
Also, After about 7 straight years of really good QBs, Ukelele was an atrocious D1 quarterback for Clemson. Can’t believe he started for as long as he did.

What do we know about Lebby? I’m sure he is good with QBs but as theoretical O Coordinator would we expect him to bring back some power to the O? Or would we continue to be a finesse team that struggles to physically dominate an opponent and runs a goal line offense passing from the shotgun?

I found this breakdown of Lebby's offense. It's an extremely uptempo shoot and veer offense in the Art Briles style.

Interior running game

The splits in this offensive system are a big thing to note. Receivers will stretch to the far hashes in almost every formation. It makes it difficult for secondary players to help in run defense. This will allow you to rip off huge runs on the ground game, which also will then make it difficult to keep safeties out of the box which allows you to take shots down the field.

Vertical and horizontal passing attack

In this offense you will see a ton of deep shots as well as tons of screens. The idea is to attack space on the field, so if you make these defenders have to crash down on screens, but also have to be aware of the deep shots. When you’re running it well on the interior it’s difficult to deal with the athletes in space in the screen game. Sometimes it’ll be a swing to a running back, or a screen to the split out wide receivers. Either way everything you do creates conflict.

I think your reasons for O'Brien not being gone yet are exactly right. O'Brien talks in the NFL went from going back to the Patriots to Tampa Bay being interested as their OC, to now possibly getting a HC gig. So yeah, that all makes sense. But one thing that isn't rumor, is the NFL (in some capacity) has real interest in O'Brien. These reports are coming from the NFL Network and the reporters who frequent that show and most of them do not report things like that where the only place they read it was on an internet message board.

Regarding Petey G, I still believe he isn't going anywhere and will remain the DC.
Rumor Mill at 'Ole Sis' sez they really do want Golding.
We have about reached the point of 'Put Up Or Shut UP'.
Lanes future aspirations sez he doesn't want to poach a DC from Alabama... but he wants Pete.

Until they start giving up chunks of yards and scores due to players being out of position
Shhhhhh. ;)

But when the REC, CNS and CLK conspire it just seems a part of the plan...

But seriously, if CNS wants a change, it works for everybody. Maybe, just maybe, PG gets to run his version of his defense but it'll still be an upgrade for them too.
