I would take Chuck Davis at the 4I think I could coach that team to a title.
I would take Chuck Davis over Gerald Wallace. Especially with regards to their college performance. Wallace way under performed.Man it's tough trying to get the Starting 5 and the Bench right on these lists.
Starters
PG: Sexton
SG: Hollywood Robinson
C: JaMychal Green
SF: Brandon Miller
PF: Reggie King
Bench:
PG: Mo Williams
SG: Sprewell
C: McDyess
SF: Wallace
PF: Robert Horry - 6th Man *1st off the Bench* in a flash.
Honorable Mentions: Leon Douglas, Trevor Releford, Derrick McKey.
This is my list and I'm still not happy with it.
The only 2 I feel 100% on are Sexton at PG and Miller at SF.... those are stone cold locks.
I could easily swap everyone else around though including the HM's.
I feel great about those 13 players though.... you give me those 13 and we can beat ANYBODY else's Top All-Time 13.
My internal logic though maybe flawed was leaning towards College results for starters and College results plus NBA results for the Bench.I would take Chuck Davis over Gerald Wallace. Especially with regards to their college performance. Wallace way under performed.
No Hollywood? The guys I would pick to play in today's game
C - Robert Horry
PF - Derrick McKey
SF - Brandon Miller
SG - Charles Cleveland
PG - Colin Sexton
Bench - Mo Williams, Spree, McDyess
Those CM Newton teams in the early 1970s averaged over 80 ppg with no shot clock and no three point line.No Hollywood?
I will say though that Cleveland would be better at the FT line against thugball teams.
I took Hollywood because he could really score including the 3 Ball.
Cleveland probably would be a great 3 Point shooter too but alas we have no data on it.
Roy Rogers was one of my early favorites. Talk about a rim protector. This may not be the all-time greatest team but it's a list of some of my favorite players of all-time.
Keith Askins,
Roy Rogers,
Michael Ansley,
Antoine Pettway,
Ronald Steele

I remember Danny Hurley and Shane Battier if I spelled Shane’s last name correct being pretty good at Duke.So who would Duke's team be? Hurley, Grant, Laettner, ...?
I remember when he had 2 triple doubles with blocks instead of assists while at Alabama back in 1996.Roy Rogers was one of my early favorites. Talk about a rim protector.
I can't speak about anything earlier than the early 90s but man... lb for lb for my money I think Rogers was Alabama's best big man of all time. I know people are going to talk about CM Newton's teams and I have no idea about those guys.I remember when he had 2 triple doubles with blocks instead of assists while at Alabama back in 1996.
The Rockets played really good defense when he was an assistant here (2016-2019).I can't speak about anything earlier than the early 90s but man... lb for lb for my money I think Rogers was Alabama's best big man of all time. Rogers in his senior year was a FORCE.
