South Alabama
I was expressing no empathy for AU, just noting how good Alabama fans have it in relation to them. Some Bama fans almost feel like Saban's 11-5 record at Alabama vs AU is a failure. That's all I'm really addressing with that statement.
Way to move the goalposts. The argument has NEVER been Saban’s record vs Auburn. It’s been about his record at JORDAN HARE. You have for years have constantly made post after post about how most of the fanbase are a bunch of chicken littles about having to play at Auburn yet have provided no proof beyond an arbitrary starting point to even come close to proving that Auburn is not a tough venue for us. It’s tougher than Neyland, it’s tougher than the Swamp, and it’s tougher than Baton Rogue. We just do not historically play well down there. Anyone who argues otherwise is ignoring history and empirical facts that prove it.

Who do they play though?
Tenn@Sloppytop, Ky next week and I think Mizzou at home.
Just a reminder - Mizzou has given the dawgs fits ever sense Eli took over; been some VERY close games. Brady Cook just set a record for most passes without an int - he’s looking like one of the best in the SEC, at least.
All you have to do to beat Georgia is shut down Bowers - it can be done; doesn’t mean it can’t because no one really has. Don’t let him off the line clean, double cover and generate a pass rush. Won’t matter if he’s running free after 4-5 seconds if Beck is on his back.
I know, easier said than done - doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

scroll down for the video. Pretty blatant.
The comments section was funny. Someone on there said that "Alabama does it all the time". This may be my crimson bias, but I don't really remember us doing it. At least not this blatantly. I rember auburn doing it multiple times, including having one player run up to another to tell him to drop. texas 8&4 did it multiple times against us when we had a good defensive or offensive play last year and the year before.

I've never said that AU was not a tough place for Alabama to play. You are misstating what I have posted. I've typically had two primary points I wanted to make about playing in J-H:

1) That a much more important factor than the "voodoo" in J-H, despite them having gotten some great breaks there, was that the AU teams who beat Alabama were usually very good, and that was the major factor in their success.

2) Saban's record vs AU at J-H during Saban/Bama's successful run, i.e., from 2008 forward, is not as bad as some intimate. He's 4-3 in that time frame. To their credit that is better than any other opponent that Bama has played with frequency. I've also noted that Alabama, including the Bryant era, often starts big games playing tight, including games vs AU. I.e., AU is a big game.

The main reason I've done this besides wanting to paint what I think is a realistic picture, is that IMO, the nervous attitude that some Alabama fans have about playing AU, likely has a detrimental effect on the team. They sense what the fans are feeling/thinking. Saban himself has often noted the importance of the fans' attitude about things, especially the effect on the players

I haven't constantly posted anything on this board. From time to time I enter the conversation about this topic. The fact is, I'm usually not here.
