They honestly haven’t been tested that much. Maybe a bit earlier on but they’re firing on all cylinders right now. If Milroe takes the run plays when they’re there, we might win.
They are only up by 8 on georgia tech at the half. I am not saying they are going to be a pushover but this is the same crap I heard after the 09 iron bowl and the 2021 Iron bowl and how "overmatched" we were. Hindsight is 20/20.

No you rush a reasonable amount of pressure and *force* Jalen to go quick. Literally why blitzing is a thing.

The 46 defense isn’t a thing because it covers everything handily.
But your guy was right there to make a play, he just didn’t.

What was the question and answer?
He was asked how he felt about being on the good side of the crazy luck game. He went play for play as to what Bama messed up that led up to the Kick 6. Basically saying you have to make the plays even if you are “lucky”. They made them that year and Bama didn’t. IB and JM made the throw and catch this year. The AU punt return didn’t.

All it comes down to is bad coaching cost us this one.
No, it was a great play at crunch time that won this game. It should never have come down to the last minute. Alabama out gained AU by 120 yards, had no TOs and AU had 3. How Bama ended up down 4 late was really remarkable.

AU played with heart and Alabama reverted to their soft ways of the last couple of years on D for much of the game til late. Did not tackle well and bad run fits vs a team that did not throw the ball well. The D coaching for Bama was bad most of the game, not just one play. That had not been true most of the year.

The way it turned could not have been better. Alabama has epic wins in its last two trips down there.

A couple of them stopped rushing too. I think it wound up being a one man rush.
Now we’re talking Gol*ing coaching tree genius coming to ‘Bama’s rescue. A mini-mush rush by Roberts, even out-overstrategizing goo* ol* Grasshopper.

No, it was a legit defense. It just turned out that flooding the defense left one of our two best receivers a tiny window. You're free to second-guess your coaching staff, but please do it on your own AU site. Don't beat it to death here...

If the rules are followed, only 1 player can be in motion at the snap, and none can be an O-Lineman. If I remember, the barn still had 3 players moving when they snapped the ball. I like to see that play again.
Another instance of “If Bama did it, Gary would talk forever. But since their opponent did it, after the commercial… we never heard about it ever again, did we?”
