Who is Saban's replacement?

I was just listening to Rodney Orr speak on the drew DeArmon show and he said he was talking to a player last night and said the player told him he's already getting calls from Georgia, Ohio State, LSU etc... With today's NIL and transfer portal, we don't have the luxury of waiting very long.

If it was "private" why would you use a jet that can tracked publicly?

I may be wrong on this, but I think flight logs have to be publicly available for all aircraft for national security reasons. The "private" in "private" jet just means it is not commercial. Someone who knows more can confirm or correct me if need be.

In the same conversation with my buddy we both said the audience of CFB is changing, and the old fuddy duddy's like "us" will be replaced with the younger audience who all they know is the CFB that is on the horizon. I'm sure I'll still watch, but all depending on the changes that are made and what CFB "looks like", it may not be anywhere as much.
I had that conversation with a friend last night. I am in my 40's. I told him that Saban retiring may be my end of college football fandom. He was one of the last joys I had with watching the sport.

Isnt that tampering before they get in the portal?

Here's the thing, yes, I'm sure other teams are calling but other teams like UGA would have to get rid of players to take on players. So though we can lose people, it isn't like other schools can just open the front door and take in players without the corresponding headache of dealing with the numbers and scholarships already in the building.

Poor Byrnes talks like he is making the decision on the next Bama coach… GB is a great guy but this isn’t basketball , This decision was made by the GOAT… GB gets to open the envelope and read the name
I don't think so. Byrnes has the ball in his hands. CNS might have given his thoughts, even recommendations though.

Isn't that illegal tampering?

By default tail numbers can be tracked by the public unless a LADD request is made to the FAA

I don't know for sure, but I think all flights like this have to file a flight plan before takeoff.

At the altitudes they typically fly, yes.

if it were any other sport but football I might agree, if timing were not of the essence it could be , but the coach is CNS and he has put his life’s blood into the program he doesn’t want it to fail… A Nate Oats hire is acceptable in BBall but that type of hire for the cash cow of UA sports programs isn’t left in the hands of just anyone. Stand by my comments GB gets to open the envelope and read the name the heavy lifting has already been done by CNS. It was the coach who told his players that his replacement would be announced within 72 hours not GB. If it goes any other way and we end up with a Bill Curry hire then get ready for an implosion of biblical proportions.

Football is a different animal than basketball when it comes to the University of Alabama. A bad decision can mean the difference between millions and hundreds of millions in revenue. That's not the case with any other sport on campus.
