I could probably get behind that. Not my ideal but seems like a good coach. Can he recruit though?Kalen Deboer seems to be the new popular name. Represented by Sexton and there seems to be some mutual respect.

Sark, Lanning, Kiffin….. and Saban.
The problem is he's the worst recruiter on the list. He might be a great coach, but how much of his success was Penix? I watched a lot of their games this year, I wasn't that impressed (mind you Clemson wasn't that impressive either, just making a point).Kalen Deboer seems to be the new popular name. I think it started with a Eugene.OR TV station report and then SI ran with it.What's nuts is there were "confirmations" reported last night that Lanning was in Tuscaloosa and now I'm reading he never was, LOL!
I'd be happy with that. He would've been my first "gotta at least try" call. If it's him, I think we are in good shape. My only question would be his ability to keep the roster together as a complete outsider.Kalen Deboer seems to be the new popular name. I hope and pray you are wrong. As detail oriented as CNS is it's almost impossible to think there isn't a plan in place.Because no plan was in place. Period.
Well, WE have no idea what's been happening - all we have is reports from people who want you to click on their article / tweet. So if there's no Lanning, and we won't suck it up and hire Kiffin, then what in the world do we do?

He’s my agent, and I don’t even have an agent. He is also Mike Norvells agent according to Google.
According to what I read yesterday UA has requested FAA to temporarily remove their jet from public tracking. So with the alleged reports of Lanning being in T-town, but sources saying he wasn't, how do we reconcile the flight tracker? Didn't flight tracker show otherwise or at least there was a flight between T-town and Eugene? I would think in this day and age (esp given the public awareness of "flight tracker" during coaching searches), that UA would either use a different "private" plane vs. the University plane.
with the way things are now, you cannot drag your feet on this. This is the key part. I think everyone hopped on the "There was a plan and Lanning is the guy" concept, and when that appears to have not happened, there's panic.
For all we know, the University may have known that Lanning was using the Tuscaloosa trip to barter for a raise at Oregon.
It's way too soon to even stress about it.
Other than Dabo who has had only one stop, he's certainly got the best track record in terms of program building.I would laugh if Mike Norvell is hired as the HC. If things couldn’t get worse between us and FSU than they already are
you must be new hereare there any official sources that say lanning was actually offered the position?
