I agree and he may live to regret his decision, especially if his UT experience isn't as grand as he probably thinks.
Becoming a legend is pretty difficult and few find themselves in a position to be one much less to do what you have to do to be one. If Bond had a great 2024 at Bama to follow '23, he's a Bama legend.
As of now, he's just a great memory in an IB game we won't soon forget, but in the big picture he's just a footnote in what will be remembered as CNS's last year.
Ewers has a strong arm but he is hot and cold. He ain't no Peyton Manning. I am hoping Williams gets on board and breaks records this year.
Well, you do remember that the team was Interviewed about who would you not allow your daughter to date and IB was fairly prominent. Seems to fit the narrative

FWIW, I'm not predicting he'll start, but the odds of him starting just went way, way up with the change of offensive philosophy which will feature pure passers. He's one and in time he'll get his chance to prove it if he sticks with Bama.
Julio is a unicorn. Receivers rarely have his attitude. I have heard stories where he was more rpoud of a good block than any catch he made.
I hate philly so much, but I really want Julio to get a ring before he retires.
Again, these young men will make decisions based on what they believe puts them in the best decision. If you want to go, that’s on you. Doesn’t mean we can’t bring in somebody just as productive/better than who leaves. Players leaving Alabama may leave due to Saban retiring but everybody does not have a Saban at their disposal…meaning someone will fill the gaps.
I'm an NFL band wagoner to the teams that have Bama guys and I'm right up in the middle of the Eagles bandwagon!
But I agree I'd love for Julio to get that SB ring. He's put the work in!
I have read and watched a lot since CNS announced his retirement. It was a media feeding frenzy. A lot of it you just have to ignore. The university did and excellent job of picking CNS replacement and it could have not been handled more expertly. I am way past 60 so I lived thru the Coach Bryant retirement and the wandering thru the wilderness for 20 plus year we did find an oasis as in 92 and then I recall the job that Mal Moore did to bring CNS to the promised land.
My point to all this is we are dealing with 18 to 23 year old boys and some are men. I do recall some of the silly mistakes I made at that age. Isaiah Bond is one of the boys that for lack of a better word has lost his guidance in the football world ( I read he hired a agent i am curious what his read on the situation is ) he and the others that decide to go to another team for money the so be it. I am not going to call them names or ridicule them as they are just boys. Yes it is a bit arrogant but if you dont want to wear my beloved Crimson and White then I wish you would go play with your toys somewhere else. For the kids that just entered the portal, I cannot blame them one bit. I would have to explore my options if I were a 3 to 5 star player. Inquire of the new coaching staff after they have had time to find a place to sleep at night and the new staff can evaluate the players and then make a decision. They have 30 days for the day CNS announced his retirement to either stay or go to another school. IMHO the worthless NCAA should some way reinstall the redshirt rule if you leave a team you sit out a year before your eligible to play. This rule would not be in effect in case a coach retires, gets fired or passes away. We all know what the NCAA stand for and can do. So when its all said and done I am proud the CNS went out a winner and if it ever comes to light the reason his retired is the NIL I say salute the man that was too proud to bend to those ways. RTR. Sorry if I offended anyone but its my personal feelings on the matter.

The guys who travel our way in the portal are just as much pirates looking to better themselves as the ones leaving.
If we celebrate guys coming our way I think we need to temper our judgment on those who leave.

Was he the best wr or just the one Milroe liked the best? He might as well not even suited up for the playoff game.
So he didn't get as many touches as he wanted? That likely wouid have happened with any quarterback. He may find it's no different at Texas.
