I agree and he may live to regret his decision, especially if his UT experience isn't as grand as he probably thinks. To be the face of 4th and 31 and then transfer is kind of odd.
But its more of a reflection on how much CFB is being ruined then it is his decision-making.
Portal is ruining CFB as we know it. All about $$$
Ewers has a strong arm but he is hot and cold. He ain't no Peyton Manning. I am hoping Williams gets on board and breaks records this year.He may have gone from the grave digger to the career killer play.
Well, you do remember that the team was Interviewed about who would you not allow your daughter to date and IB was fairly prominent. Seems to fit the narrativeRespect answers the phone, the rest doesn't matter. The most important thing is the respect, or in this case the lack there of.
And totally different attitude from today’s players. It really wasn’t that long ago either.Great clip.
Really? OuchWell, you do remember that the team was Interviewed about who would you not allow your daughter to date and IB was fairly prominent. Seems to fit the narrative
And then there's the real chance CKD sees he's the best fit for the new system. If all things are equal (or close)among the QBs, always start the youngest. That just makes sense for the future.
We need a Julio again
I'm an NFL band wagoner to the teams that have Bama guys and I'm right up in the middle of the Eagles bandwagon!Julio is a unicorn. Receivers rarely have his attitude. I have heard stories where he was more rpoud of a good block than any catch he made.
I hate philly so much, but I really want Julio to get a ring before he retires.
I have read and watched a lot since CNS announced his retirement. It was a media feeding frenzy. A lot of it you just have to ignore. The university did and excellent job of picking CNS replacement and it could have not been handled more expertly. I am way past 60 so I lived thru the Coach Bryant retirement and the wandering thru the wilderness for 20 plus year we did find an oasis as in 92 and then I recall the job that Mal Moore did to bring CNS to the promised land.I'm going to say something I know some of you will disagree with, but I believe it's hard to "judge" a young player making decisions in today's college football climate.
Try putting yourself in their shoes and realize some of these guys (like Bond and Niblack) are making decisions that might be multi-million dollar decisions about their future.
Before anyone says it, I agree it was disrespectful for Bond not to at least acknowledge CKD's overture, but he going to a situation that he believes is a "surer thing" in terms of who he knows will be throwing to him.
I am becoming a bit of a Texans fan. OSU QB, Bama players everywhere and Ryan's as the HC.I'm an NFL band wagoner to the teams that have Bama guys and I'm right up in the middle of the Eagles bandwagon!
But I agree I'd love for Julio to get that SB ring. He's put the work in!
Great point.Again, these young men will make decisions based on what they believe puts them in the best decision. If you want to go, that’s on you. Doesn’t mean we can’t bring in somebody just as productive/better than who leaves. Players leaving Alabama may leave due to Saban retiring but everybody does not have a Saban at their disposal…meaning someone will fill the gaps.
They showed out last night! Would love see Demeco win it all!I am becoming a bit of a Texans fan. OSU QB, Bama players everywhere and Ryan's as the HC.
Imagine going from the second worst team in the NFL to winning a Super Bowl the next year. That has to be a record for a first time head coach in his first year.I am becoming a bit of a Texans fan. OSU QB, Bama players everywhere and Ryan's as the HC.
So, my big question is this. Who is Kirby and Sark gonna have do their evaluations of players and asst. Coaches now??
Was he the best wr or just the one Milroe liked the best? He might as well not even suited up for the playoff game.It still doesn’t make any sense purely from a football perspective. We’re talking about a guy who was already our best WR, and we just hired an offensively-minded head coach, to put it lightly. It’s not like Bond was struggling for playing time.
I am becoming a bit of a Texans fan. OSU QB, Bama players everywhere and Ryan's as the HC.
So he didn't get as many touches as he wanted? That likely wouid have happened with any quarterback. He may find it's no different at Texas.Bond is. He didn't mention Milroe, but said it all the same. Read what he said. He left for a QB who would get him the ball and improve his NFL draft stock.
aside from bond reportedly not taking coach's call, i don't really begrudge any of themGreat point.
The guys who travel our way in the portal are just as much pirates looking to better themselves as the ones leaving.
If we celebrate guys coming our way I think we need to temper our judgment on those who leave.
