Goodness the selfish attitude of fans on here in regards to kids. Just remember they are kids with no life experience, kids having tons of money thrown at them, kids being told what to do by people who just want their money and no great advice from most(excluding some coaches). For those saying CKD should boot Milroe now: Are you saying that CKD should run off a guy who is willing to stay and compete for his job - knowing there will be an open competition after he held QB1 all year - so he could maybe keep a bunch of guys who are willing to quit on their team within 48 hours after the new coach is hired? Am I getting that right?

Once upon a time a great coach was asked if he was upset that a player had quit the team before the season started. Does anybody here remember his response? It was so.ething along the lines of "no. I'm not to terribly upset. I'd rather he quit in practice on Wednesday than during the game on saturday." I believe that coach was a pretty good coach that won a bunch of games. He even was nicnamed after wrestling a bear, i believe....

But the constant insults and complaining because a kid made a better choice for himself or could be doing to help family or going to a school that he grew up liking but chose Bama because of a coach who is no longer coaching shows the character of that person posting more than anything. Agree. It was inevitable that there would be a fallout no matter who we hired. Hopefully, we can stop the bleeding quickly, but there will probably be others given that the greatest to ever coach just retired.

I do believe that this will be the brief moment in the foreseeable future where we are vulnerable. Going forward we will be the hunter again.

As for Bond, I don't begrudge him his decision, but his lack of class exiting the program and refusing even to take a call from the new coach embarrasses his family name.

I don't know. I have a hard time wishing anybody well that leaves like this. They are not a real teammate, and obviously didn't really give a damn about their former team. I'm sure Bond would get the ball plenty of time under Coach Deboer, maybe more than he gets it in Texas. But no, give me money, money, money. I'm sure we would have given him plenty of money too, so in my mind, he's just a quitter. Why these kids, who have proven absolutely nothing, are getting loads of money is beyond me. Oh how I long for the good old days of college football. Somebody fix this thing!!

If 2024 is really a rebuild, why not throw Sayin to the wolves and let him take his lumps. We should still have enough talent to beat 75% of the teams on our schedule.

It wouldn’t bother me if Steve Sarkisian never won another game. He took half of Saban’s staff with him in 2021 and now the best skill players off of an offensively dependent program.

Saban never recovered from the 2021 rape, hopefully Alabama will recover from the 2024 rape.

So much for his appreciation for what coach Saban and Alabama did for him.

IMO, if anyone is culpable, and maybe no one is, Sarkisian is more so than the kids.

What about the commitment the schools make to the players. Coaches develope a player, spend a ton recruiting, and on educational opportunities. And the player just walks away after a coach has got him to the point he is contributing back to the program. It is too slanted to the player side of things. I don't criticize players that transfer, but I understand why someone would criticize them.
