Are we getting to a point where players will have agent's? Find me my best deal, I'll sign there. Just like the NFL.
For all we know, we might already be there. I think the chances that we know EVERYTHING that goes on behind the scenes is slim to none. We know that some of these kids already have " handlers '.

100% chance agents are involved. Anytime more than $25 flies around in athletics I’d bank on an agent being involved. Such is the sad death of amateur athletics.

Like most things, I'm sure we would be appalled if we knew exactly what goes on behind the scenes. The stories I've heard have been crazy

Why does 247Sport have Andre Craig listed as a commit. I have never heard of him. He must have been a walk-on. Looks like he enrolled at Bama on Feb. 2 then entered the portal on Apr.17.

Yes, he's a junior walk-on from Kennesaw St. He has no star ranking or any other position rank. But I think he was a 2* or 3* out of high school in Georgia.

I would think our general manager has his hands in this too.

The ingredients are in the bowl, time to see what he can cook up.

I am probably missing something but IMO the only net loss in the portal that really hurts is Downs. Everyone else should be replaced by a transfer or freshman that will be just as good.
I'll say this about Downs: He is one of the most talented player.. with huge upside. but the thing is.. He had lot of good and bad moments on the field.... We will see how he does this fall with different coaching... and we'll see where he is in December.

I don't think it's a huge loss at all. The only way it's a loss, if the Safety play this fall was bad and we're on the minus side of the margin, then it's a loss. If Safety plays are real good and are on plus side of margin, then we didn't miss a beat.

IMO, he is the best player in college football.

No big loss?

It wasn't just the portal with Downs and Amos. But also the NFL draft, with Kool-aid and Arnold. That's four talented big playmaker DB cleats to fill.
