2024 College Football Hot Seat Rankings: Evaluating the job security of all 134 FBS coaches
From 'win or be fired' to 'untouchable,' every college football coach gets rated by Dennis Dodd

Not unless he loses to UM. Most of the fan base has calmed down, for now. Beat UM, win the B1G and a game or two in the CFP and he will be as comfortable in his seat as any head coach can reasonably be. But if he loses to UM, only a national championship would save his job.I think Ryan Day's seat is a lot hotter than this article leads on.
Daniels winning the Heisman accounts for a lot. Still, I'd put him at 1 instead of 0.Brian Kelly as "untouchable" surprises me.
And given Arky's schedule, odds are very low that he survives the season. Seriously, who did Pittman **** off in the SEC office?I was kind of surprised to see that Ark hadn’t already fired Pittman.
His seat has got to be Red Hot with Smoke just Billowing off of it.
It must have been a very small number of people because I don’t remember that at all.Brian Kelly as "untouchable" surprises me.
I will use this as an opportunity though to say that 2 years ago some people on this board had Billy Napier at the top of their list for Sabans replacement
He wasn't at the top for me but he was one I was keeping my eye on. I'm surprised he has not done more at UF. Besides, fans are fickle...including me.Brian Kelly as "untouchable" surprises me.

Michigan has been a thorn for Day. But Ryan Day is one of the best head coaches in CFB. I hate to think Day would lose his job solely because of a loss to Michigan. Day has the Bucks in the championship mix nearly every year. He and his staff do an incredible job recruiting, in addition to winning lots of games. I don't know of anyone who could fill Day's shoes. I do get the Michigan thing. It would be tough on Bama fans to lose to Auburn like that. Reminds me of Bill Curry having decent winning seasons, but losing to the Barn. I predict the Bucks whip Michigan this year. The Wolverines will be good, but it's a transition year for them. New head coach. New starting quarterback. Coach Moore inherits a wealth of talent, so not much drop off. But I just don't think they're as good as last year. Putting Ryan Day on the hot seat is just emotionally charged foolish thinking. My opinion anyway. Not unless he loses to UM. Most of the fan base has calmed down, for now. Nice hot take but zero truth to that statement whatsoever.Brian Kelly as "untouchable" surprises me.

I can easily go back to find the quotes where Napier was in members top 5 replacements for Saban 2ish years ago.Nice hot take but zero truth to that statement whatsoever.
I do recall Napier's name mentioned. But not at the top of anyone's list. There were many names thrown around on that thread. It was before Saban announced his retirement. Not long after Napier was hired by UF. He was a hot name at that time. Funny how things can quickly change.Brian Kelly as "untouchable" surprises me.

Yes, that is correct. It did not seem like a bad hire at the time (For florida)I do recall Napier's name mentioned. But not at the top of anyone's list. No poster who IMO had any judgment and more importantly no one who mattered in the AD likely did.Brian Kelly as "untouchable" surprises me.

Napier looked much better back then. He had just been hired at UF. Many, including me, thought he'd do really well. He was a hot name at that time. But it hasn't panned out.No poster who IMO had any judgment and more importantly no one who mattered in the AD likely did.
Not sure. But Moore did coach several games, and was assistant there. Why is Michigan’s coach rated safer than our coach? Seems like both are in the same situation.
Media thinks Bama fans have less patience than Michigan fansWhy is Michigan’s coach rated safer than our coach? Seems like both are in the same situation.
He doesn't have to live up to the same standard. Why is Michigan’s coach rated safer than our coach? Seems like both are in the same situation.
