I like the comments from the "Dog Mama"......ðŸÂ¶
Old candidates weren't the problem. The problem was the two we had and one is still left. Thanks for the comments - glad you enjoyed the vid.
Whether or not you are on board with Kamala....at least we finally got a younger presidential candidate!
Something worth noting and celebrating......
I agree that capability and ability to speak clearly without obvious gaffs was a big and growing concern for Biden. Those issues are correlated to age, but not directly because of age. The guy that is left definitely has some age related problems, but his issue isn't primarily age, it's his quick temper, poor and lack of new/good policies, unwillingness to obey our laws, disdain for anyone that disagrees with him, lack of empathy, poor choice for people to surround himself with, self-dealing while in office, cozying up to dictators, etc.Old candidates weren't the problem. Is it just me, or has this board become a progressive, Democratic echo chamber? Looks to me like you guys are just talking to each other these days.

Yeah, even Bazza has jumped on board.
This is what politicians and political parties should do. That way, the will of the people can prevail. That’s how a democracy is supposed to work. “Government of the people, by the people, and for the people….â€ÂHer reversal on the fracking policy shows she recognizes how important it is to adapt one's political stance in order to enhance overall popularity within' the electorate.
I think her choice of VP will have more than average impact, if for no other reason than the contrast with Vance. I think a lot of people are going to go through the thought process of "If I vote for an overweight, almost 80 year old dude, on a cheeseburger diet, I get that for a president. OTOH, if I vote for her and she gets assassinated, I get this reasonable-sounding guy (or gal)."To be honest....the DISGUST I have for our ENTIRE current national political sphere has not lessened one bit - rather it's only increased.
I gave up expecting things to go as they should in the country - that ship has sailed. At this point, any time spent for me on a message board will mostly be for entertainment purposes....and to try and stay positive.
As far as Kamala goes.......she has a legitimate movement in place right now. It will be interesting to see if she can sustain it through October.

She's got a VP choice to make and while most "experts" say the VP choice doesn't have much impact on how folks vote, in this case....it will be much different and I think her decision actually WILL have a significant impact, IMHO.
I will continue to post items I think are of interest and relevant to thread topic here as time allows. Going to be an interesting next 99 days.....

My dad had a woman try and talk him into voting for HRC back when. When he asked her why he should her response was, "because we need a woman..." Dad replied that if he had said that America needs a black man as POTUS because he is black then he would be called a racist. Yes, the attitude of electing a woman because she is a woman is just as wrong. I said what I said...Exactly.
I will make one other point.
There are more women voters then men.
Policy does matter, don't get me wrong.
But I'm seeing an absolute FLOOD of women who will vote for Kamala....on the basis of gender alone.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if she gets elected.....hell hath no fury......![]()

I'm beginning to believe you may be right again. On the radio this AM, they said she had moved ahead in all the swing states. I think initially she'll retain most of Joe's cabinet. Her turnover rate indicates she's hard to work for and some irascibility surfaces publicly from time to time...I think that ship has sailed, my friend.
She was put in as VP because of her gender and race. Biden said as much.
That doesn't make her "unqualified".
BTW.....I see this as a double-edged sword.
If someone told me I was appointed into a position because of my race and gender....I know I would always feel......maybe it wasn't 'earned'.
Regardless.....she's held office as VP now for 3.5 plus years and as such was in a sorta a pole position to get this opportunity. That's how it is sometimes. Especially in politics but in other walks of life as well.
I don't really care as much about all that as much as I do having a POTUS who at least holds their own in foreign policy and is not afraid to step on some toes to help the country.
I don't know what a Kamala Harris presidency looks like - I really don't.
But I think we will find out come January.
True, but Trump's turnover rate was almost identical in numbers. Just sayin....I'm beginning to believe you may be right again. I'd prefer she replace Garland and Blinken, at least.I'm beginning to believe you may be right again. On the radio this AM, they said she had moved ahead in all the swing states.
