Perhaps an unpopular take. They get a big check obviously but Mercer has more to play for than this game. They need to start rotating in some back-ups too. An even better memory is playing for a FCS championship. They’re down 28-0 and have nothing to prove or gain from here on out.

ETA- yes, I realize they’re playing their back up qb.

I mean, they're already starting the backup QB because the starter is 'injured', though he went through full warmups according to the commentators.
